I spotted this on RGB Direct. However, I thought I would try using John Lewis price match guarantee first. They are selling for £99. I have just received an email from them agreeing to price match with RGB.
Since John Lewis offer 2 years warranty instead of the usual 1, its a bonus.

- The soundbar combined with the compact subwoofer produces 60W of power, to provide you with a rich, all-encompassing sound with absolute clarity - all in its discreet size

- For playback from your Smartphone or other device, you can connect wirelessly with Bluetooth via NFC. An NFC enabled device means you only have to touch it to designated spot on the soundbar for instant pairing, so you can enjoy your music in optimal, fully immersive quality

- Added flexibility in installation is provided with the holes on the back of the soundbar for the ability to mount it on the wall

Oh tell me what guarantee jl offer. Zzzzzz did they not use this to avoid the scam not knowingly under sold?

They used to when they first changed their policy to include websites but so many people complained that they stopped. Now it's price, availability and whether charge for delivery.

and if they have stores that stock goods etc etc etc. Very hit and miss with JL. I had email from them Friday saying they would not match RGB due to them being an online retailer with a showroom and not stores.

This is a good price for this product. There are bigger and better but this will suit a lot of people.
I would not worry too much about the JL comments. RGB will do for me. Heat added.

To cut to the chase, I have one of these, and it's not very good.

I have one. Bought it off Gum Tree still boxed from a John Lewis deal with a tv It was unwanted as the gentleman used his old surround system Cost £55 I am very happy with it but then again I am tone deaf

If you have such a problem with JL, just use the original retailer. JL provides a decent service to many but nobody is forcing you use them.

The sound bar is good for the money, certainly a huge improvement over normal flat screen TV speakers without breaking the bank.
Bluetooth & NFC are handy and work well also.

Thanks for this OP, ordered one from JL on the 1st so have just sent in price match form, hopefully they will honour it, if not, they can have it back and will order from RGB instead.

they are not that loud , but makes a good bluetooth speaker for the bedroom

bought one for £58 loads on ebay

Same item was £84.99 on Amazon up until a few days ago, and now it's £99.99

Going to try price matching using JL, if not i'll just purchase via RGB

Purchased a £24 Goodmans sound bar the other day but was left underwhelmed, so will give this one a test. Has many positive reviews on Amazon too.

I am using them paired with my sony w829 42" and love them - not the greatest but I guess you get what you pay for - easily the best in sub 100 quid category for me.

Link to the last deal when they were just over £80..................Soundbar

Does anybody have any experience with these and modern Sony TVs - can the soundbar volume be controlled usingthe main Sony TV remote - or does it mean another dedicated remote as per a mixed manufacturer combo? Thanks in advance.

I have this, absolutely great, brilliant base and treble. John Lewis having used a defunct parcel company did take 7 attempts to deliver and despite ordering early december did not deliver till new years.

The connection is optical, although digital co-ax and phono are available, there is no hdmi!
Connect to TV to avoid sync issues

Main disadvantage is due to the no hdmi, there is no display to tell you your settings like bass, volume, etc, you have to do it by ear

Good soundbar. Does the job in my living room when mates are round, they all say it sounds grand for the price. Only person who is going to say this is junk are the pretentious, £500 per speaker morons.

It's good for TV or films but doesn't get loud enough for party music, I posted on the other thread b4 but best settings I found are treble 3 bass 7 surround sound on.

that's what i've done, can't justify downgrading to 60watts from 350watts....and having lip sync or OSD issues

You can get Sony HT-CT260 which has total output of 300w from Tesco for just £169. I spotted the other day in Tesco failswoth in manchester.

Bought one of these with PRC direct online for 79 too. Awaiting delivery but reviews are good & I agree with the previous poster about pretentious PRATS

i would rather spend a bit more and get a sony one with more watts. 60 watts won't touch the sides might aswell get computer speakers for 20 quid lol

needs another remote I'm afraid, unless you use a sky and can programme the remote to control the TV, sound bar and Sky box.

If you don't use Sky, then the sound bar remote can be used for both TV and Sound bar.

Price back up to £99.95 now as JL has just pointed out, no price match for me.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago - when looking on eBay they were selling for more than most retail shops. You obviously got a very unusual deal.

Has gone up in price to £99.99, John Lewis just informed me as i sent a price match

Price has gone back up to £99 on rgbdirect so John Lewis are refusing to match it (even though I submitted the form yesterday when the lower price was live). Oh well, still a decent price.

Currys still have them at £84.99 £84.99

Just noticed that, have sent them another price match query at JL. Took delivery today, looks a good bit of kit for the money.

If you have a Richer sounds close by, they are selling for £79.95, going to visit them tomorrow
RicherSounds

I'm sure I have just seen this Sainsburys Hoddesdon for £79.99

Currys now gone up to £99. Do John Lewis phone these people and threaten them like the shopping mafia!
