All of the speakers wired?

Yes the speakers are wired to the sub woofer.

Tempted as i would like to replace my sony 5.1 dvd combo to clear space under the tv. Reviews are a bit hit and miss though, but i haven't seen anything similar with the receiver built into the sub.

I've been thinking the same as I'm trying to reduce clutter and then mount the tv on the wall. I've decided against changing the 5.1 bluray player to a soundbar as even this high end Sony is only half the output of my old pioneer. Instead, I'm going to place the front 3 speakers on the wall and leave out the rear ones to avoid the wiring I'm trying to cut down on. This is a good deal, but if wanting to use it for Bluetooth and nfc features, I'd guess you need to have the sub accessible (as opposed to behind the tv unit or hidden behind the couch) .

cold - should be wireless at that price

I am surprised that nobody has complained about how this is marketed. When you look at the Sony picture on Currys website it shows the speakers at the back of the sofa with the sub woofer next to the tv. They fail to show the wires in the picture. They also fail to mention wires in the product description and under box contents in specification. I wonder how many they have had returned because people think its wireless.

Does the soundbar connect to the subwoofer through bluetooth or does the soundbar have to be connected to the subwoofer through a wire?

The audio signal is wireless to the speakers. Each have an amplifier in them. And they need to be plugged into the wall.

Hot, the premium brand in home audio under 200 pound, bargain

The RT5 version has wireless rear speakers. Hike in price in comparison though!

How does it compare to Sony BDV-E2100. £179 on amazon and seems better to me.

Its currys... they like to omit details... go into their stores. None of the labels give the memory details for their tablets. Pain in the backside.

???? Which year are you stuck in? There is nothing premium about Sony anymore, and go check the reviews, Sony Soundbars/Home Cinema are the worst bar none.

Sony's very own Forums have moderators specifically employed to delete any post criticising their Soundbars, support is terrible and the main thing above all, the sound quality is shockingly bad.

If you don't believe me, go ask any Hi-Fi shop like Richer Sounds and watch them laugh at the mention of Sony's own Soundbars not even being fully compatible with SONY's very own TVs..... I'm also speaking from experience.

I for one will never buy Sony products again, they are an outdated old school brand that just brings out flashy looking equipment with the same internal components of yester-year.

Even at this price, keep your receipt, I wish I could do a poll on just how many of you end up taking this Junk back.

Thought it was just me who noticed Sony dropped in quality. Pioneer and Panasonic seem to be continuing to make good products though (consumer grade that is)

You really need to read some what hi fi magazines and improve your knowledge about audio, just a search here would show you. You're probably the type of person who
Buys Onkyo !

And your the type of person that needs to learn to read. I said I have Sony and it's a terrible brand for Audio.
Oh and by the way, the Hi-Fi magazine are affiliated with a lot of brands like Sony, that's what keeps them going in return for favourable reviews, so to believe a Magazine reviews over Real world users experience kind of shows your lack of understanding Always happy to educate people like u, or should I say "that'll learn ya"?

So this is rubbish then?
