Thank you, I missed out on this the other day, just ordered now.

Heat added.
Id be careful I had to send mine back due to dead pixels a slow menu and clouding on the bottom
I've ordered this today after missing out on the other flash deal. Hopefully I won't have any reason to return it.
I've been reading reviews and this model seems the best one to go for within its size and price range - unless you want 3d.

Out of interest how bad was the clouding? I received this TV on Saturday, and all appears fine, apart from very minor light distribution uneveness at the bottom. I'm being really picky though, and after spending some time tuning the picture settings, its a very good feature rich TV for the reduced price. I know this TV is backlit and uses just 1 strip of backlighting, so maybe thats a possible reason for what I'm seeing.
I wonder if the 55" version will be on sale again.

It had 3 concentric circles from the bottom to about 1/4 of the way up I played around with the settings, brightness etc but no matter what i did it was too obvious.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like you had a really bad one, especially accompanied with the dead pixels. Amazon used Yodel to deliver my TV (not sure if this was just because it was a Saturday). Lets hope it wasn't thrown about.

great find, thanks op! heat added! :-)
just ordered mine off the wait list.
I got mine a few days ago. Not sure why to make of it yet the sky hd box SD picture is horrible that's for sure, and footy looks worse than on my old lcd. Stuff transmitted in true hd and 4K is pretty dam good though and I like the android interface for Netflix etc

Has anyone found what the best picture settings are, I can't find any for this size and model

I had the same issue with Virgin Media. I think its auto 4k upscaling of the image and as a result it looks quite pixelated when using some of the standard picture settings. There are quite a number of settings to play with, and I've managed to get it looking fairly good using the custom picture setting. I'll post my picture settings later when I get home to see if it helps. One thing to check is the sharpness setting, as when this is too high it makes the image look heavily pixelated. The Football button makes the image look better from a distance, but more pixelatted up close - something to do with the increase in sharpness. I'm using some fairly decent high quality HDMI cables, so not sure if that will help or not.

Cheers for this info I will have a play when I get back and will be great to see what your settings are.

I bought a decent hdmi 2.0 cable and this didn't seem to make much difference over the standard sky one tbh.
quality HMDI cables are a fad.
Had this set and also had bad light bleed that could be seen in corners and as a V coming up from the sony logo. It also had some DSE that could be seen when panning on similar colour shots - e.g. football games. Had a replacement that had the same so jacked it in for another brand.

I haven't played around with custom colour settings or Hue as of yet, I've simply tried to stabalise the picture quality and pixelation by playing around with settings that are good for both HD and SD channels.

Some of you may have different preferences on the actual colour temperature of the screen depending on how vivid you like your picture.

I am in the same boat as you, it's looks great on through my xbox one but watching arsenal and barca last night the picture was poor, have you managed to sort yours ?
I got mine yesterday, the picture quality is top notch, however the screen and plastic sides of frame is seriously flimsy as though it's not clipped in correctly. If you press the screen it flexes away from the frame.
Are they all like this or is it faulty?

Mines exactly the same so I'd say it's a feature of the TV. It's most noticeable in the corners.
