How much is model normally worth?
£500
the XG8096 models are exclusive to Currys/PC World and Sony Centres and sells for about £529 ish - it's pretty much identical (except for the feet) to the XG8196 that other retailers sell.

Cool thanks for the insight mate
Anyone know what the viewing angles are like on this?

I have the 43" and the viewing angles are excellent, this is an IPS panel which give good viewing angles. I've been very pleased with mine and wide viewing angles were a concern for me.

Perfect, thanks for the info
Is this a grade 'A' or 'B'?
Says A at the end. Thats how you know.

The tv I ordered from them was practically brand new but didnt come in orginal packaging. You can check hours used in the service menu.

This is a good safe tv model. Starts to get interesting at this level.
The Android TV aspect on this is a bit poor, be warned. You have to use YouView for All4 to work, but YouView doesn't have reminders from the guide. The picture is nice though.

Picture is the main thing as that will last through its lifespan. Sony TV are very safe in this regard. I doubt the android is poor. Maybe not as fast as say the XG95 but it cant be bad.

Having used the Android TV for 3 months, it’s bad. Slow, ponderous, no All4 to get around the YouView issue, no ITV player to get around the YouView issue.

As you said though, picture is everything. For the smart features it’s missing I just switch back to my Apple TV.
If a an external freeview boxes was used, would the processing of the tv upgrade standard definition tv or would they external box do the updcaling? TIA
Had a recent webchat with two reps recently, both couldn't answer basic questions, in fact seemed to go out their way to be unhelpful. Maybe I was unlucky, who knows. But lost a sale and makes you wonder if the presale CS is lousy how bad after sales must be.
Great deal just purchased !
