Same, I was about to buy a Porsche when I realised I could fit twice as many people in a Yugo for a little over £300 as well.

Sony TV with a LG description?!?!
"Bring the future home with the LG OLED55B8. Featuring built-in ThinQ AI, your LG OLED TV"

Something not quite right here................
Sorry, it was auto filled by hukd, correct description amended.
I've seen this performing in Costco and it blew me away but perhaps the Panasonic is just ahead in some reviews.

Has anyone had any experience dealing with claims through Sony centers? Would they be as easy to deal with as the likes of richer sounds which seem to be really good with warranty....

Yeah but it won't have the image processing as this, I'm going from a 7 year old Panasonic plasma, so it it has to be OLED for me.
When I first saw a demo of this my eyes came out of their sockets. Outstanding processing and picture. It's a beauty. Heat added.
Good for oled

Let me know when oled are remotely near 300 .Doubt you will ever be pulling the 'trigger' as even at its lowest it's 3 times your trigger.

In the present climate they won’t accept returns on sets with a screen size greater than 43”. I’m stuck with a 49” set, can’t return and can’t get a refund. Have to wait until the current climate improves before I can get it resolved.

Bought an AG8 refurb 'A' grade from Sony Centres Direct...be aware you actually buy from individual Sony Centre and they apparently take turns as to who gets the sale...I was unlucky enough to get Basingstoke Sony Centre and some belter called Jazz...Ordered 22/03, TV arrived smashed 28/03...several email with photos and Jazz eventually responded 31/03...he informed they are not collecting during this time and will not give a refund until they get the TV back but cannot indicate when this will be...I said i would send it it back myself to expedite refund if he can provide warehouse address...been blanked again for last 3 days.

I ended up buying a Samsung from Hughes, then seem like a pretty decent company, so it's being delivered on Tuesday
Was just looking at them as they have the C9 for £1279...hope it all works out for you!

Hope you do better than I did. I'm not having any success, mine was delivered on the 23rd (damaged screen), stuck with a duff set and no money.
I've contacted them again through the web chat hoping to bypass the rocket known as Jazz...been dealing with the guy from the Leeds store and he was very 'understanding' but is not hopeful as it appears they are all franchises...said he would do his best for me today so will wait and see...will update if i get any success.

That's awful and quite unbelievable. I was thinking about buying a TV from them to replace my panny plasma but certainly not due to this bizarre condition. Bought plenty of items over the years from SCD such as speakers, AV unit and a small TV for bedroom and all been fine.

Don't have much confidence but you could always phone your credit card company used to buy the TV and see if you could do a chargeback despite you having the TV. Gawd knows how long you may have it and if said store will still be operating once C19 blows over.

Yeah I have seriously been debating did I make the right choice in choosing the Samsung Q90R over the LG C9, TV being delivered tomorrow. I keep hearing about screen burn with LG tvs so I keep telling myself I have made the right decision with the Q90R..... 🙈
Tempted, when is the 2020 version out
