Sony KD-55XG8505 55" 4K HDR LED Television with Android TV

4K HDR Processor X1™: More detail, more natural, more real
With Object-based HDR remaster and Super Bit Mapping™ technology, our 4K HDR Processor X1™ reproduces enhanced depth, textures and natural colours. You’ll see pure colours at higher brightness levels for exceptionally realistic pictures.

TRILUMINOS™ Display: Extra colours, extra brilliance
See vivid real world colours all around you. A TRILUMINOS Display maps from a wider palette, faithfully reproducing every shade and hue in the umbrellas.

Rediscover the detail with 4K X-Reality™ PRO
With 4K X-Reality™ PRO, every image is upscaled closer to true 4K quality for remarkable clarity. Images are sharpened and refined in real time, revealing extra detail in the books and architecture of the library.

Motionflow™ XR keeps the action smooth
Enjoy smooth and sharp details even in fast-moving sequences with Motionflow™ XR. This innovative technology creates and inserts extra frames between the original ones. It compares key visual factors on successive frames, then calculates the split second of missing action in the sequences. Some models also include black-frame insertion for a blur-free and truly cinematic look.

Object-based HDR remaster
With Object-based HDR remaster, the colour in individual objects on screen is analysed and the contrast adjusted, unlike most TVs where contrast is only adjusted along one black-to-white contrast curve. Because objects are remastered individually, this TV can reproduce greater depth, textures and more realistic pictures.

Quite a bit

zkelectronics.com/com…ny/

The main difference is the SOC chip and more ram, they have announced android 9 for the XG.

Unlike the xf9 and xg9 are very similar

I havnt played with settings however if you Google there are guides to speed it up. I've heard disabling you view helps (only if you don't use it). Keep meaning to do it however I havnt got around to it.

Was after a 49 incher. Is there much of a difference between the normal one, the one with the X1 and the one with the X1 and Full Array lighting?
The android system and Youview puts me off buying another Sony. The lag really is annoying which is a shame as the picture quality and build are both great.

If you mean the sony kd-49xg8505 vs kd-49xg9005

The xg85 has wider viewing angles and no dimming, however they have announced android 9 for it. The contrast will struggle in a dark room a little. Black areas won't have as much detail.

The xg9 has full local dimming and is brighter, the picture is better head on, however its an older SOC and unsure if will get android 9. Much better contrast especially in a dark room
