They had the 55 inch yesterday for £2200 as well
Not cheap those Sony badges are they?
When looking at Tv's I was looking at this or the Panasonic ez1002b. The Panasonic just edged it for me personally. This is a great TV with the extreme chip. Whilst the cheaper LG Tv's are good these are better

Had enough of tvs myself going for a projector
Great picture quality & sound but the stand is really strange, giving it a big footprint and meaning the screen is leaned back and pointing upwards.

You get what you pay for, I spent over £2500 on a Pioneer Kuro over 10 years ago, still going strong and can hold its own against most 4K panels.

65 Inch should be place on a wall (best sound optimization too).
This is the BEST TV on the market right now.

Panasonic is a brand I'll stay clear from. They never update their TV firmware/update when they launch a follow up model.
Their 2017 TV will not be upgraded to the new 2018 software. And their 2018 will not be upgraded to 2019.
Flat panel a TV reviewing website will start warning users about this in their next reviews. My 2016 65 inch flagship was never upgraded to 2017 software, even the BBC iplayer HLG HdR they promised to implement wasn't properly done, they blame BBC and BBC is blaming Panasonic.
The have a lousy software team. That alone is a reason to go for brands with dedicated software development team.
At least will keep updating their system as long as the chips are capable.

I agree they very slow with updates. But I'm happy with my Tv. The biggest aspect of a tv I look at is picture quality. And the EZ1002b looked the best to me
It's not that they are slow, they don't update once there is a new model.

Haven't found a single blind oled test with the like of philips, panasonic, lg and sony which put the sony at the top, so I don't think it is the best.
I don't understand how you could spend £2849 on a tv and care about the built in speakers, surely you would have a receiver and 5.1.2 speakers or similar matched to a tv like this. Bit like buying a gaming pc and playing minesweeper.

Generally speaking:
THIS IS THE BEST OLED TV ON THE MARKET FOR THIS MONEY
AND IT HAS GOT GREAT SOUND SPEAKERS BUILT IN (screen itself act as a speaker, and back unit is subbuffer) MAKING COMPLETE UNIT AMAZING - this is my point of view.
I've been playing with it for couple of hours at CURRYS, done over 30 tests, Samsung representative was there as well, we compared several Samsung latest units, and of cors LG, Hisense... - SONY THE BEST - Other way bough Samsung or LG, but i stopped on Sony.

Your choice of words hardly speaks expert
Was the Samsung rep fawning over the Sony too? I would love to see these supposed tests though I'm sure this screen ranks pretty highly.

Many reviews on the net - look properly.

I'm not talking about reviews where people know it is a Sony and rate it highly due to it being a Sony. I'm talking about blind test where the reviewers/judges have no idea what set/sets they are looking at, like the Avforums one where the Philips 9002 (priced much lowet than the Sony) Destroys the Sony.
I don't know how you can say for the money it's the best oled, it's the most expensive by far and average when compared to the competition.

Spent £2977 on a 43" Pioneer PDP435XDE plasma in 2005, thought the same as you until I replaced with an LG B7.
Price showing £3199, i guess expired
It's got the Android operating system,i'd steer clear, my Sony bravia is bricked after only 2yr 6mo constantly reboots, needs a new mainboard, never buy sony again

Exactly - my 2016 Panasonic TV hasn't received any updates since 2017. Most of the apps on it (incl. YouTube) don't work any more, so I have to use my 3 year old Sony blu-ray player (regularly updated) to view YouTube on my TV...

Im not an expert just normal end user and i choose and pay for what i like not somebody with their preferences. I found it best by comparing it in real live atmosphere with same video and audio streams, and didn't use any electronic devices for test only eyes and ears - what human can see and hear but not any other equipments, also look at natural colours in deep but not what shows by QLED - over reach!
