Great TV now they are getting to grips with Android OS and rolling out regular firmware updates.

I always have trouble trying to link directly to Very items. Just pop KD49X8307CSU into their search box - that'll do the trick.

No it was the 49 inch version.
It was actually a really great deal. I know there have been 'better deals' price wise but the specs in the 83 series do stand out.

Now £850 without the soundbar for the 49 inch 8309C:

The 43 inch is £649:

Lol. I dread to think what Currys could sell to my mum if I were to let her loose in one of their shops!

This item will have something minor missing.

I think mine runs at 1000Hz and this one at 900.
Not certain though.

Just did a bit of research. I believe they both run 800hz. I think they're actually the same TV. I think the code difference relates to colour. Is yours black by any chance?

Yes,
that may be one difference.

But mine DOES run at 1000Hz for motion and this one is advertised as 900Hz. (As the specs point out for both).
Not much difference is it. I would have thought only sports watching, if that, will allow you to notice the difference between the two.
10% off offer ends 23rd December just to let you know.
The LG 49UF640V Smart 4k at £449 seems to be a good price.
Or the 43" at £349 (lg) 4k

Nice. I imagine even lower motion clarity on that one but good price still. That's about what my 8309 cost after quidco and selling the soundbar.
howd u get a free soundbar
Thanks ordered.
I bought the 49" 8309C last week, so far NOT impressed, pixelation and motion blur when watching SD programs. I watched the Liverpool game this evening and parts were unviewable due to motion blurring. I spoke with the salesman at Currys last week and he said I should expect this as the Tele is trying to upscale the picture all the time, ( It's like stretching a photograph, the larger it gets the grainier the picture.). You should think twice before buying this TV, I'm taking my back tomorrow but don't expect much help.
