Here is another great deal for those who want a high quality branded 4K TV on a budget.

If you're already stretched on budget and don't require the sound bar deal that many are offering, then the price for this graded "as new" TV is truly unbeatable - for the cynics out there this is SERIOUSLY cheap (RRP 6 months ago was a crazy £3499!) for a very high quality, well regarded by consumers, 4K TV!

12 months warranty, order online, but is "collect only" from 6 nationwide stores!

Nice price OP, its still £1200 at JL and Currys at the moment. The reviews for this TV are quite good too: johnlewis.com/son…162
    Good find! Respect
    Nice find op
Wish this was 55'' voted hot, nice find.
    Great deal. heat added
OH MAN....SO TEMPTED....My only problem is not enough space.
@Nirm did you go for one of these yourself? Was you one of the lucky ones that got the sony w905 / 955 f £660?

I'm on the look out for a decent new TV, and this ticks most boxes...

    Good size
    Good brand
    4k and 3D
    Under £1000

    But... 200hz Shame.
after my experience with a brand new 55W950 with poor quality screen, I will not be buying any graded/refurbed/open box etc Sony tvs. personally I will pay the extra for a band new one with 5year warranty and free sound bar. I believe as they don't make the screens, that there supplier shifting there not so perfect screen to them. that's why a lot of there new models have been a lottery to get a good sreen

but still a good deal and heat added..

I thing a few of us were part of the great Sony giveaway w905 rocks..

    Isn't that a good thing?
    "4 HDMI"

What is the point of this? It does not seem to support HDMI 2.0 nor HVEC. So it may have a 4k screen, but there is no way to get a 4k signal into it, unless you drop to 25 Hz.

This is already obsolete, even before I got a chance to buy it :-)

isn't 200hz old hat when some models are 800hz+?

Genuine question for the experts out there.
From the richer sounds website...looks pretty future proof to me!
    Future proof technology
In the future you will be able to enjoy movies and dramas in stunning 4K via video streaming services like Sony’s Video Unlimited 4K service and Netflix. You can also enjoy stunningly beautiful high resolution digital photos and also relive your precious memories when shot using a 4K Handycam.
The new 4K BRAVIA series TV’s are also compatible with future 4K standards, including HDMI 2.0 for smooth 4K/60p action, MHL 3.0 for 4K mobile data transfers and HEVC codec support up to 4K/60p for the upcoming 4K distribution services.

    X) I never find the HUGE bargains at the right time for me, so no but I'm loving the W955 (at almost double the price of the lucky HUKDers)... though I did get the recent Bosch oven for 1/4 price (being finally delivered on Saturday) (_;)

Yep, wouldn't really fancy watching 4k on a 200hz TV. Not only that, it nt even be 200hx, that will be the TV's software boosting to that figure.
Not sure I see the point in 4K on a tv this small to be honest!

It's gotta be 55" minimum to reap the benifits, surely! I won't upgrade until I can afford the 65", although I am aware these are weeeeeell expensive, I've spent enough time drooling over them in JL...
Hopefully they won't sell too many, realise we are all poor and then have a mental sale in January
Is the 55" version any good? Was thinking of getting that model at full price. I heard it's the same TV as the Sony KD-55x9005a but without the big speakers on the side?

    This true?
