Outstanding TV and best in class for the size. Enter "Extra60" in the checkout. Has been as low as £870 at Currys but this is now out of stock. There is a chance of an added 4% cashback (£30.62) through quidco to get this down too £888.37.

Low input lag, great HDR brightness so damn near perfect for those with PS4 Pro or XB1.

Check out a cracking review over at ratings (link below) but their summary was...

The Sony X900E is a great 4k TV that offers some of the best picture quality found in an LED TV. HDR content looks particularly good on this TV since it gets very bright, and it handles motion exceptionally well. Its only real downside is the degradation of the image when viewed at an angle.

Too small and too expensive...the 55 inch should be around this price

What a subjective thing to try and pass off as fact. Ha.

Hot as! Shame it's not like the curry's price! Really want this... Will have to smash/drop the existing one first...:)
Thank you, together with the voucher use and PAYPAL 0 % for 12 months, finally I bought it. Thank you so much for sharing.

The 55" was 920 in coop a couple weeks back. I'd wait

The 55 was £999 at the weekend. It's not that subjective.

Great TV, not the greatest value at this price.
Picking up the 55" variant as a replacement for my KS7000... Sadly the back came off and Curry's just gave me a full refund(!).

£1099 from John Lewis and Curry's, so may have to wait if people have seen it for sub £1k... Although the 30" I'm using as my main TV at present is not making waiting seem a good idea.

"Too small" is 100% subjective I'm afraid.

Sure, I can be one of those if you feel that sensitive chap. Perhaps don't come in all guns blazing with a subjective comment on a post you have no interest in next time?
Think the other comments on this thread have shamed your comments...

I didn't say it was too small, i said it was poor value.

The lowest this TV has been was £860 (I think?!). This price, if the cashback comes through, is £20 off that price. So pretty much near its best value. Big "if" on that cashback though.

It's a TV that is highly rated and only just inferior (lower peak brightness on HDR Vs the newer model) so it's still in high demand. As its such a small difference Mose reviewers recommend picking up this model due to the price difference. They are clearing the stock of this as well by the looks of it so you’ll have to fork out more £££ for the newer models.

It might be poor value, but it's near the best you'll get for a TV this good.

I'm not question how good it is, it's just expensive compared to the prices the 55 inch model has been lately.

I'd personally feel gutted getting this when the 55 was less than £100 more.

Of course you do chap.
Why do people keep talking about the 55? This is a deal for the 49.

Some people really do go wayyyy off track on this site, trying to ram stupidity down people's throats.

The OP posted a good deal for a high in demand set. It's his first post by the looks of things. But noooo, people still have to whinge about something, even if it makes no sense.

Good for you if you want a 55.....go to a thread where your comments are relevant? Some people are wanting a 49.

There is nothing "stupid" about it. There may be people that want 49" and only that size is relevant, but how many people are restricted by price and opt for the 49" over the 55" for that reason only?

This site is good for deals AND sharing opinions/ideas/suggestions. If it was deals only then why bother having a comments section at all?

Then those people can look for the deal on their 55, instead of moaning about the 49? It's hardly rocket science.

Your example makes no sense. People coming in saying "you can get the 55 for such and such price, this is a poor deal" are just whining for whining's sake. They are not interested in the 49 so why be so negative?

There is no 55" deal. However by talking about it it often prompts users to go and look for X deal (55" in this instance) and maybe post them if it seems like a good deal.

They aren't "whining" by saying you can get a 55" for X price, they are informing users of the site that they may be interested in paying X more pounds for another 6 inches, or, if the price isn't currently available, that people might want to hold fire to pick up a bigger TV of the same specs.

It isn't rocket science.

Yeah, I predicted you wouldn't have any real arguments, and were just being sore that people wouldn't follow your arbitrary rules and you would try and bail on the conversation, and I was right.

The "real argument" is that you don't understand people.

But you obviously have an obsessive need to "be right". That much is clear.

Anyone doing the lame "champ" comeback is always very wound up, I'm afraid. Nice try though, ignorance is bliss I suppose.

The irony and complete lack of self awareness in your posts is most amusing, I must say.

Anyway, if you want to actually get back on topic to discuss why talking about different size TV sets in a thread is bad, in your opinion, then I am all ears. However you seem to have left that argument behind and not taken the opportunity to duck out of the conversation, so I am a bit confused at why you are still replying?

Still trying desperately to try and gain some kind of upper hand I see.

This is a thread for a discontinued 49 TV where stock is dwindling. The responses are along the lines of "why not wait", "Im looking at the 55" and "it's too small".

All completely irrelevant to the fact that the OP posted a good deal on this TV.

There is that lack of self awareness again, you seem to think I am "obsessed" with winning, yet at every turn it is YOU who can't seem to have a conversation without talking about it. Very telling.

The TV may well be discontinued, but stock does not seem to be an issue at present. The deal is decent enough, I voted hot, however the 61 degree heat would suggest others are not as convinced.

The responses may be "irrelevant" to you, unfortunately you are not the arbiter of what is relevant. As I previously stated, and was duly ignored, this site is not just for deals but also for discussion that can lead to other deals being found and for people to think about whether they want to buy said product at said price.

So maybe instead of jumping in on an "irrelevant comment", which funnily enough has actually lead to many, many more irrelevant comments, you could just ignore it?
