They also have some motion issues, zd9 almost rivals the top end oled with almost 1000 nits, if you really want oled then the A1 is considered the best oled on the market due its motion flow and x1 extreme chip, and the excellent acoustic surface speaker
I game on this, have I to say best TV for motion I've owned. Picture is great just watched ready player one in 4k HDR last night. And unlike over TV manufacturers the picture isn't over/undersaturated out of the box great for people who don't want to fiddle with RGB settings.

It's not considered this actually. It's a good TV but well overpriced compared to the competition, LG and even Panasonic. Noticed you haven't mentioned the incredible way in which Sony has stuffed up android os and turned it into a buggy, unreliable mess. Any reason for the omission?
Just got email to say Richer Sounds will price match.

Definitely a Sony employee then.
I always enjoy the oled comments. Hands down oled TVs look amazing but I just can't bring myself to buy one because of screen burn. If I was in the market right now I'd go for this over oled as much as I'd love a oled just couldn't take the risk. Why will no manufacturer give warranty against burn in?

Apart from the fact that he is, of course, correct. The A1 is noticeably better to watch than the (admittedly already excellent) LG 2017 models. On my E7 I notice some colour grading issues. The A1 doesn't exhibit the same thing.
Does every positive comment have to be a fully balanced and in depth review of the item in question? You can't mention anything here without having somebody jump down your throat and attack.

Wrong site mate, not 4chan, use your words
I'm really torn between the 55" XF900 and the B7. At a glance, B7 is a no brainer, but it has several major issues:
-Bad low grey uniformity (banding/dirty patches)
-Panel quality is a mixed bag
-Dark game mode
-Weird glitches with motion handling
-Unhelpful LG customer support
-Possible image retention prevention/fixing hassle

Still, at £1100, it is hard to ignore - In certain scenarios the B7 is unbeatable - black levels, 0 light bleeding, etc, but vastly inferior to the XF900's HDR, motion handling, reliability, while image quality is on pair.

I expect compromises at this price point, but the B7 seems flawed in several ways.

LG OLED are the Kuros of this age...

The panels are the standard for all OLEDs and yet Sony, Panasonic and potentially Phillips OLEDs get better reviews. The picture processor is the key. The X1 Extreme chip in the XF9005 is the same as in the Sony A1, widely regarded as the best OLED on the market.

As such this picture in this is incredible, I have the 55.

A good deal, voted hot

I ain't a Sony employee but I know what quality is, it seems your just there to be negative, why can't accept that Sony video proccesers are the best for image quality, a panel alone is nothing without the right electronics to run it, something you wouldn't understand.

Nearly £1100 for a sub 50" screen a fool and their money springs to mind.

Why is your 'understanding'of image quality better than others, there's me thinking that would be a subjective thing

Yeah I do actually. Had it on a Sony xd9305 which is 9months of pain and misery. One step forward two steps back for every update. Apps constantly crashing in the background. Kodi ran terrible on it.

I've been using a nvidia shield constantly for the last 2 years and love it. Runs great and I'm one of the few who quite like android os. Just needs to be implemented correctly and not cheaply like Sony do.
powerbrick55 m ago

Which retailer

No retailer will cover screen burn as the manufacturer won't. The store won't go above or beyond what the manufacturer says. Maybe in the future OLED will be ready for mass market. The second a company is willing to warrant against the issue I'll look again, but I expect Micro-LED will be in mass effect by then.

"14-4-2018 update .

LG have confirmed last week to Ratings.com reviewers that there is indeed a variance between panels that makes some more susceptible to screen burn than others .
They are now also replacing or repairing panels with screen burn under warranty for the first 12 months .
They are also repairing 2017 sets with 25% calibration test pattern image retention for up to 5 years from date of purchase. "

I never had issues with kodi, and I have smart iptv and have sideloaded chrome and gdss cctv app, plus my 5 year has YouTube and Netflix almost all day, and it's hardly ever crashed. The xe 9005 has a better chipset and is also faster then my TV, my mates has the xe9005 he's never complained about the os. Do you still have this TV? If you been using the nvidia shield for 2 years, why was using the xe 9000 os? Xe 9000 came out in May 2017? Your numbers don't match up

They add up as you misread the model I had xd9305 was before xe9000. I bought the shield so I could bypass the os but still had background functions crash on the os. Was given the xe as a replacement from richer sounds but still had os issues so gave it back after a couple of weeks and got an LG B7.

Picture is not only better but runs a simple and smooth os. No lag, crashes and very very good picture.

Reading reviews and playing with Sonys in stores the os issue has not improved much.

Because it isn't a fault, it VERY RARELY occurs if the TV is used in an unusual or irresponsible manner.

Warranty doesn't cover it being soaked in milk either.

So you find it acceptable that you could spend £1500 on a TV and that within 12 months you could have image burn that will never disappear? And you say this isn't a fault? It's an inherent design fault - that if you game with static HUD's, that if you watch TV stations with static banners, your TV could be ruined. Of course that is a fault. Guess what, I don't have to babysit my Sony XE93 in any way shape or form. I could leave a massive static image on screen for a week and there will be no permanent damage. It is not a fault in the truest sense of the word, because if it were you would get it fixed under warranty. If is however a design flaw that the manufacturer is asking you to accept.
As for your comment on "soaked in milk" - absolutely no comparison. I don't tend to pour milk on a TV, I do however watch programs on a TV. The later should be classed as acceptable use.

It has improved just because you had 2016 model I have a 2015 and 2016 no issues, as image quality the sonys are always above the LGs you can search and research, but most sonys are above LG in terms of picture quality, more realistic and natural image then the oversaturated picture of the LG.
