Probably the best 49 inch TV in its class.

Not when it's currently the best 49" TV available
Curious as to whether this'd best a more expensive OLED panel.

No but you cant buy a 49" OLED
Whats the difference between XG9005BU and XF9005BU.

I have been looking at the KD55XF9005 on very at £799 but a little put off that which only give it 65% and say whilst it's 4k image is good programmes watched in SD and HD don't fare too well. Private reviews say the Android system is problematic and slow. Also viewing off centre isnt as good which am not sure if they are being picky as my current TV has a VA panel and viewing off centre is fine for me.
I thought Sony do not give a 5 year guarantee but will sell you one. John Lewis and Richer Sounds provide their own extended warranty which is not from Sony. Might be worth a google.

Does anyone have any experience with Richer Sounds price matching? They claim to match any price, then beat it by up to £100...
I notice the Samsung QE55Q70R is down to £799 at John Lewis. Slightly better according to Rtings

A pity it has such a horrific stand. Makes it a no go for me.
