Have been looking round at 55" TVs for a little while now, this isn't what I am after but I thought the price for a decent brand with reasonable reviews was excellent and may be of use to someone.

Price is delivered and discounted from £549 with code PLAY20. Have checked and hasn't been posted anywhere near this price previously.

Favourable reviews, but don't mistake this for the 7002/3 models - this one has Motionflow 400 not the 100/200 variants in lesser models. Not sure how much difference it makes in reality - all have a 60hz panel.

Product Details of SONY KD55XE7073SU

Could be easily solved with a Fire Stick at £25 - we use em in the kids bedrooms, love em.
I have a firestick there decent but since I got my new TV I don't even use it just fling straight to tv don't even bother with Kodi anymore

We use this at work and we have 2, no problems on Internet, I evan have iptv installed without any issues, both are connected using wired LAN, maybe you should connect using wired? Played 4k YouTube without issues great picture and contrast would recommend especially at this price

Wireless isn't the always the perfect solution, because it's bandwidth is limited, normally about 300 mbps, evan Netflix recommends 15 mbps above and wired connection to get 4k, you could always use poweline adapters instead no wires long wire runs and 3 time's the bandwidth

Powerline adapters let you run your ethernet cables via the wiring in your house.

amazon.co.uk/s/r…ter

You don't need any expensive brand names, get a simple 500mbps 1 or 2 port ethernet one. There are some that give wifi boosters if your into that.

Say goodbye wires and goodbye shitty wifi signal, welcome powerline adapters!
Is 50hz good?

It's basically a pair of plugs one connects to your router via a cable and plugging in the the electrical socket, and the other plug to your TV or ps4 via socket and LAN cable, the internet signal will travel through your electric system thus giving you 100% signal and bandwidth.

Did you try an ethernet cable? I've never used WiFi on my TVs, manufacturers don't consider such niceties as antenna design or placing when it comes to TVs so most have very poor signal even with the router close-by, and you'll get buffering.

Should I have got this instead of the Hisense H50N6800 I got for £420?
Looks like they’re all gone.

I’m looking at this model? Have you got it yet? Was looking at the 55u7a. But for the price of that I could get the n6800 and a 4K blu ray player for the same price.

Yeah I have it, I really really like the TV I think it looks fantastic. One thing I never did really get clear is what the difference in quality is between the N5500/N5700 and the N6800 is. Richer sounds have the N5500 55" for the same price as the N6800 50". My local store didn't have the N5500, so I just went for the N6800 at John Lewis for £420 inc. 5 year warranty.

My advice would be to check out the 55" if you can find it at a local store, and if not, the N6800 looks great from what I know.

That's what put me onto it rather than the other models. I kinda decided that a known good model is a safer bet.
