Sony 55 4k TV with £250 cash back or 4k Sony blu Ray player

FYI. Get in touch with TPS and they'll send a link with the cashback knocked off the order price, so no chasing it weeks later. Only downside is a £50 delivery charge if you're not local.

Just one question, how big is TPS? They're offering 7years warranty, but they might be gone long before 2024...

Is the cashback from sony or TPS?

Got to say this is a great deal for what is a good TV. I am after 65" 90 or 93 series only because I have a. 55" Sony now but £645 for this TV and the first five yrs is a Sony warranty. 🔥

How does the cash back work. ???

The first 5 years is Sony's warranty but yeah there's a good chance TPS will have gone down the pan or been bought out by 2024.

Very tempted by this just not keen on the cash back deals. Suspect you'll need to wait 30 days after purchase before they'd accept your cash back claim too.

What's the android system like on this TV? The remote also?

If this is true and you can get this model tv for £645 then it's the bargain of the century. Just emailed them to confirm how it works.

Black Friday Deal 645 x 1 @ £645.00 each

Just to mention, you can get the black version (KD55XE8596BU) and that both versions also come with a wall bracket.

Also just been confirmed by e-mail. The price is deducted up front so you only pay £645 and you also get a free wall bracket. They are charging £55 for delivery which is a bit steep but even at £700 in total that is very cheap for this tv.

Except, I suspect not many people want an expensive Blu-ray player (4k BRPs can be had for sub £100).

Don' shoot the messenger

Remember the warranty after year 2 won't cover the odd dead pixel just a large area...... or blown line of pixels etc..

Op should probably change price if it can be had for £700 Inc delivery... Was after an LG but would seriously have to consider this deal... Heat

Anyone had any previous experience of ordering with TPS?

I hope they honour the pricematch.

I have been reading through some of the TV deals that have been coming up, but not up to speed technically.

Anyway, there seems to be a fuss over HDR by name only ? With true HDR only in the £1000 range, so is this that ?

Also there is discussion about 8 bit, or 8 and 2, or 10 ? I think this is 8 and 2. So what is the knock there. Cheers in advance

HDR content is typically designed to played at 1000nits (brightness) or 4000nits. This TV only achieves 400nits - however it has good/fair HDR reviews mostly due to the high contrast of a VA panel & and Sony's excellent image processing.

The bit rating is how many colours the pixels can achieve. 8bit + frc has the same number of colours as 10bit, but it does this by quickly switching from one colour to another. This is a pure 10 bit panel.

Price match for £645?

That's what I've asked for.

I've had John Lewis match this for £645 including delivery. It did take more than one attempt though. JL will say they don't match cashback offers but this isn't strictly a cashback offer from TPS, even if they advertise it as such.
