It's been ~£100 cheaper
It's cheaper at Power direct. £1029. Cold
Deciding whether to go for this. Package deal at Hughes effectively gives you a free HT-SF150 Sony sound bar too, £1099 with or without it, and can still use voucher.
Got the ht290 soundbar with mine a while ago from co-op for £1007...but I canr see that happening again so this is a good deal. Dodgy Android interface though...loads of discussions on here about it. Oled has come down a lot too so might be worth a look if you have the extra £300 or so...watch out for motion handling though
Is it worth waiting for the newer models to go down in price to have a better pick brightness and Dolby Vision ?
Bugger... I bought this from huges 2 weeks ago, would have liked the sound bar...

What's the issue with motion handling....isn't it better that led for football and sport?
Great TV. Great deal if you want a sound bar. Pretty good deal even if you don't. You can get it cheaper right now, but without the sound bar and at shops you've never heard of. If you don't need a new TV right now, then you can wait as the price should be coming down further since the XF series is out. But what tends to happen is that the old series disappears when replaced.

The only reason the XE93 which is next TV up (before the XF90 came out) is still available is because there is not a new replacement set. I have the XE90 and I am very happy but I am also monitoring the price of the XE93.
+2.5% Quidco
How does this compare to the Samsung Qled models?

I heard it's dodgy on the budget plasmas...not looked at these myself, just what people report. Then you get the purists saying you should watch it at the source frame rate anyway...I'm not getting into that...just saying I would try before I buy.

You only get 14 days...
I'm really tempted by this deal.

I've read most of the Samsung Q7 Vs. XE9005 threads online and the Sony appears to be the winner from a hardware/picture quality point of view. The Samsung wins in the OS/Software department.

If anyone has seen a better deal or knows of any upcoming promotions please let me know.

I got the 55XE9005 a couple of weeks ago from JL on a £1045 price match (no sound bar though, so this is a good deal).
Set up and working great. Android is irrelevant to me, as it is only used with a Sky Q box or a WD TV Live.
Sd TV looks a bit dull, HD TV looks pretty good, but BluRay is spectacular - Not even tried any 4K yet.
Need to play sround with the settings a bit more but very happy with it.

In short the answer is no. The newer XF90 is only slightly better and costs a huge amount more than this, the current XE93 is a fair amount better than the new XF90, but is much cheaper. You would have to be mad to buy a XF90 at current prices.
Watch-out for vignetting (dark edges) on these TVs.

After a lot of research decided to go for it.

Delivery Wednesday.

Can't wait
Any ideas on a decent wall bracket for these. Had to fit in a corner and not cost 150+ like the jl ones. I think it needs to be called what's known as cantilever style for full motion in the corner.
