put "65 inch" in title because some people may not open the deal and vote cold.
Amazing that this doesn’t even play Blue Planet 2 4K but the much cheaper Sony TV’s do 😏

It does, it'll play the best quality Blu-ray UHD version just fine. It's only the iplayer trial version it won't currently run.
great tv i own the 55 inch its a class above my samsung mu 7000 i would highly recommend it and i know iplayer blue planet in 4k isnt supported but its the best 1100 pounds i spent in a long time
What's this about Blue Planet? Why would it not play it?

BBC currently have Blue Planet II up on iPlayer in HDR as a trial of HDR content, but it's not available to every 4K capable device with iPlayer.

Those that don't currently have access include web browsers, Samsung and (most) Sony TVs, and almost all other 4K capable smart devices (streaming sticks, blu-ray UHD players etc.).
looking at the 55inch version. what does availability: special order mean?
Ah ok, thanks for the explanation. John Lewis will price match this too.
One day I’ll get one, not today.
Heat!
Have the model above, XE9305 and it's very good (yes not ZD9 or A1 good but close enough). Believe this has a lower quality panel compared to the XE9305 which shares the same panel as the ZD9 just without the full array back-light.
excellent!! cheers!!

I think the trial is currently over or is it still available on 4k?

You might be thinking of the Planet Earth one, The Blue Planet one has only just started and runs for a month until January.

I see, does the iPlayer app automatically detect 4k TVs and play the content in 4k or do you have to select 4k? Doesn't give me an option to select- just play. Cheers

I think it’s a big deal that higher end Sony TV’s can’t play it without a separate Blu-ray player when the lower end models can play it for free on iPlayer.
It seems it’s just Android TV models that play Blue Planet 😏
Is this a reputable website? I've never heard of it before.
But I am tempted by this TV.

I have used them 3 or 4 times perhaps over the last 10 years, never an issue personally.

Like anything, always pay by credit card.for the extra protection it gives you. Also you can always go for the John Lewis price match

I've had confirmation from John Lewis that they will price match this.
Also, once you have your price match confirmation, it is valid for 28 days so you can wait to see if it goes any cheaper knowing that you have locked in your price.
This deal is back on by the look of it
