bad experience?

Be aware that the new generation of 200Hz TVs uses much less energy, which pays through savings on electricity. Example Sony KDL-40Z4500 uses 235W. The equivalent Samsung FHD LE40B750 200Hz uses 80W, which just 1/3rd of the Sony's use. I'm sure Sony's new models will also use much less energy but the KDL-40Z4500 must be an old model.

Just checked prices and the Samsung FHD LE40B750 200Hz cost from £900, which is a similar price.

ok, enery saving is something to consider, but in general the qaulity of the mentioned Sony TV and blue-ray player is unbeatable, as well as the price. so it is hot for me.

I'm not sure what you mean by better quality. The specs of the Sony and Samsung are the same (both 200 Hz). You can pick up a blu-ray player for around £100. But your energy saving per year will be more than £100, so over 5 yrs could be £500 (it depends how much you watch, of course). That, imo, makes the Samsung the bargain, not the Sony
