Shame it's Pixmania Avoid buying anything from these.

Its tempting as its a great price (Richer Sounds just sent me an email with this at £699) but there's only 2 HDMI ports which is a bit weak. So one set top box + one games console and that's it.

If you are okay for 2 HDMI ports then yeah, hot.

cold - pixmania, very poor company

I'd pay the extra hundred for 5 year warranty at rs

Paid £699 via John lewis price match several weeks ago - no regrets, this is an excellent TV for this price. Worth taking a gamble on the company to save another £100? Pay via credit card so you are covered should anything go wrong...

Would John Lewis price match this deal?

No it's not. This Tv is an import, no mention of a DVB-T2 tuner so no Freeview HD. If you have any problems returns are back to France, UK based repair agents will not help you & insist the TV is sent back the country it was bought from for repair.

Shops is shops. Not internet.

Pixmania = dixons = currys pcworld = DSG are to electronics sales what the **** in Snatch are to caravan sales.

tanked

I'm fairly sure Richer Sounds do a price match, so you could get the price of this company with the service of Richer Sounds, might be worth noting OP or someone double checking. Can't see 2 HDMI ports being too much of a problem, you can always get a splitter (or bump up your sound with an A/V receiver )

No longer owned by DSG - from Wikipedia

'In September 2013, Dixons Retail, owner of PC World and Currys, paid €69 million to offload Pixmania to the German company Mutares.[1] Pixmania had lost £31 million in the financial year ending 30 April 2013 and had acted as a drag on its parent's financial results despite a move by Dixons Retail to reorganise the business.'

Good luck with customer service if you have a problem. If you must buy from these cowboys be sure to pay directly with a credit card (do not use paypal) then at least you can claim from the credit card company if there is a problem.

Really shocking company to deal with. Surprised they are still trading!

If you hate money and love stress then this deal is a must!

i bought a samsung ue46f6500 recently for £615 from JL. Have to say the 3D function is a cool feature...but a gimmick to me. Will hardly use it and after a while 3D does get to your eyes and becomes irritating. If this had 5 years warranty I probably would have chosen this since its 4 inch bigger and cheaper.

oO oO

In my Honest opinion...I'd advice you to avoid Pixmania. I've had terrible experiences with them in the past.

freezing cold for me.

How did you get it that cheap?

I got this from John Lewis, beautiful TV, on or off. the frame is so thin it and the stainless steel looks much nicer than gloss black!

Worth it for the price. It doesnt have 3D but I prefer a normal sharp 24hz image for movies and this is the best ive seen!

W6 series sony tv's you should avoid.

Pixmania in the past always shipped from France for me, so its 99% an import which affects extras+guarantee+adapter and their customer service is awfull if you get in a pinch from my experience

Was quite tempted. But never mind.

Why? They're nice TVs

temped but not sure about an import model...

How did you get it that cheap?

well first did a price match with richersounds and lowered it to £699.95 and then got a friend who works in john Lewis to get me 12% discount under his name. Lol. Helps having friends everywhere. Also getting a ps4 infamous 2 bundle for under £350 from tesco

damn 569 now? If only it was somewhere trust worthy and a UK model

wow really tempted by this... I'm in the same boat with trusting issues though from the negative comments!

Bare in mind. Trustpilot
Currys 1.5 out of 10
John lewis 4.1
Pix 4.4

The deal is good... BUT AVOID buying from Pixmania. I bought a 55" samsung for £700 (brilliant price) but turns out that because it's a foreign tv from Germany or something, I couldn't download certain apps. That's just the first part, then i discovers 4 pixels missing. That's the second part. And lastly, the most horrid part... Returning the tv! This took literally a month... Ups kept saying they weren't going to take it due to the size, so after calling Pixmania over and over again, they kept saying they spoke to ups and all should be fine. Ups got peed off due the amount of times they had to come to my house to pick up something they weren't allowed to and that Pixmania didn't contact them, so the lovely driver just took it because he knew how long this situation was going on for.

However on a good note, they pretty much refunded the money straight away

wow, a friend paid 750 for one of these on boxing day
