ok i sorted it lol yippee
This is not 4k. Amazon have previously done the 55w8005c which is 4k for £599 in a lightning deal if you are prepared to wait for another
How does this compare with the KDL-55W829B?
Got this tv in the Lightning deals in August. The bad points are that it has a crap auto dimming feature that still peeves me. It needs a sound stage or sound bar as the speakers aren't great. The big positive is that you can get kodi running on it with Phoenix or Genesis plugins.

No 4k kills this deal for me. So close.

With Sony as with most manufacturers the higher the number the higher the spec so no.
I have the 809 and it is 1000mhz and has a satellite tuner, not sure of the spec of the 905.

The big negative of running Kodi on it is there is a bug with bypassing the sound through the ARC into a theatre system (AV amp or soundbar) still better to run Kodi on a separate device until a fix comes out

No issue here - I've got a Sony HTXT1 (sound stage) connected to this TV via ARC and Kodi plays fine.

Have you got audio pass through switched on in kodi?

I used to have a full surround system and had the dual audio xbmc/kodi patch. After a while I ditch the surround sound system and just went for a decent sound bar instead. Not sure if audio pass through is switched on as I don't need it with my setup.
