so no 5% off available then so price needs amending.

Great TV, I have had mine for about three months, brilliant picture

A good way to get money off at PC World is to buy vouchers on ebay. The other day I got £259 worth of vouchers for £215, so I saved £44 off the price of my telly!

Another way, if you are a member of the civil service, is to go to www.mojgreatdeals.co.uk where you can buy currys/pcworld vouchers, and comet vouchers for 10% less than the price. So you can buy £200 of vouchers for £180.

Im not in the civil service, but my mum is! When I phoned them up they didnt even get me to confirm this!

great tv

No stock in the 3 stores closest to me.

Excellent buy, if your in the market for a 32" HDTV this is probably one of the best you can get and well worth the extra over the cheaper brands on eBuyer et al.

Got the 26" version of this TV and I love it

your TV is considerably worse than this one. So probably wise not to consider your one. Thanks for hijacking the thread, too.

Is it really that bad:thinking:? My bad, sorry........

Bought this TV in June 2006 to use with my Xbox 360.
The Pro's:
Beautiful picture, decent resolution when used as an secondary PC/Laptop monitor, and the built in speakers are way better than any others Ive ever used.
The Con's
The only downside is it comes with just one HDMI port built in, but that's easily rectified with a cheap 3-way adapter. Oh and it only displays up to 1080i, not 1080p

Still, its so good I bought the 40inch model for downstairs. For £380 this TV is a bargain - I paid £1100 for mine way back when, and don't regret it.

I don't know what TV you have mate?!!? I have this model, 32s3000.
It has 3 HDMI's ports. 2 on the back, one on the side, You right about the 1080i though although, at 32" I dont think there is much visable difference with 1080p and 720p

any one have an opinion on whether the KDL-32U3000 is a better buy for the same-ish money ?

Ahh, after abit of investigation it turns out I have the Sony KDL32S2000, not the 3 series. Even better deal then! :-D

The S version is the budget model with a TN panel which is why it is cheap, really only worth about £200. If you care about picture quality you might consider paying extra for the T version with a PVA panel featuring better blacks and wider viewing angles.

Thats the case with the 26" inch versions but not the 32" ones. There is only cosmetic differences with the 32T3000 and the 32S3000. The 32T3000 does have a tilt stand as well (I am not 100% sure on that though). The U series and the P series were the lower end models. I have had both the 26T3000 and the 32S3000 and have done extensive research before buying. That being said, they are older models and are being replaced by the 4000 series. Sony have also changed the lettering system they use for the models as well.

Extremely dodgy IMHO. Nice way to launder stolen goods.

telegraph.co.uk/mon…xml

Just tried the code and it said that it has reached it's maximum usage or something to that effect. £400 is still a fairly good price for it though if you have the cash, but you can get a better model for just a little bit extra.

That's exactly what CeX and eBay are, vouchers are only a small part of it - not to mention I imagine the majority of vouchers are legitimate sales.. you can't single them out when stolen goods like iPods and laptops are constantly going up there.

Voucher expired so price in title is incorrect.
