It isn't Freeview HD though it's Freesat HD and normal Freeview. OP has made a mistake.

# Integrated freesat tuner - watch free-to-air HD and SD satellite … # Integrated freesat tuner - watch free-to-air HD and SD satellite broadcasts without the need for an additional set top box# Watch digital TV with the integrated standard definition digital terrestrial tuner (MPEG-2, also receives analogue)

sony.co.uk/pro…res

I have to check my local tesco tomorrow.

Can't see what the refresh rate is on the Sony site. I need it solely to use as a conference room screen with PC, so think I need the 100hz rather than 50 to avoid nasty flicker... any ideas?

Bought a 42 inch Bravia for less than this with freeview HD and Internet tv wouldn't pay this for a 37 inch

This is a "V" series so its a 50Hz TV

care to provide any details??

Seeing the previous sales, i dont know why but this seems rather expensive, 37 inch for £384 seems steep, even if it has freeview hd, just imo.... But i wreckon £500 for a 50inch plasma from comet is better for size, quality on these is ace though have the 32"....

+1

I have the similar KDL32W5810 and it *does not* have Freeview HD
Good TV and a good price though.

Its all about the freesat. It typically adds another £100 quid onto a same spec'd tv without one.

This is an excellent price for a TV with Freesat HD built in. Been on the look out for one of these at the right price - just wish it was the W series and a 40" screen. Hmmm...

This is a great TV, very good picture qulity... i have the 40" model paid £600 in june 2010

Freeview HD isn't available everywhere yet (years away in some places) so this TV is a good alternative for those that want Freesat HD instead and also offers normal freeview.

This is a lcd not crt 50/100 hrz is all rubbish
an lcd doesnt work like that
and 100 hrz is just there as a software trick that usually doesnt work
the first thing i did on my 52" Bravia was turn that crap off

Does anyone know if i can hook up a freesat box to a existing Sky satellite dish?

Providing there is a spare feed then yeah no problem, unlike Freeview/Analog you can't just split the cables though, each device connected to the dish must have a dedicated cable.

Shonk

quite so, people still believe that a higher number equates to better performance.... it's often the case that the better spec TV's will also have 100Hz but that's not makes it better usually, it's the all round better specs that make the real difference.

50Hz LcD's don't flicker so getting 100Hz isn't going to make it flicker free..... 100Hz for LCD/Plasma is something different to what it was for old CRT tv's which can suffer from flicker.

100hz sucks, it makes the TV look like it's playing back a dodgy channel 5 soap from back in the 90's

Thanks for that, my mum needs a new viewing card and rather than give £20 to Sky to watch channels she already pays for with her TV license I thought I would try a Freesat box instead.

Might get more HD channels with the £20 sky card though. Only get BBC HD, BBC1 HD and ITV HD on freesat.

The numbers are there to make the people buy things. I mean why is it that not 1 tv is perfect? always lacks something, wether its having 1080p or 600hz...

Just checked stock at 2 local stores. One doesn't stock the item and the other has no stock but says they may have more by the middle of the week. Both confirmed that the price on their system is £384.00 though. They said the price should be the same at Tesco Direct but couldn't find it on the web site. They then put me through to TD who unfortunately can't check it as their systems are down!!!

Good luck to anyone who manages to get one.

Lougborough Tesco doesn't stock any integrated freesat TVs, I went in first thing this morning hoping to get this one. Good luck to anyone that gets one, awesome find.

None in the Purley Tesco, the guy didn't know about the offer - super hot if you find them though!

Hi, I don't know much about tvs but will like to buy a 32" one.
I went to Richer Sounds this evening and got some info.
He seemed to recommend the LG 32ld690. It's 32" for 399quid 439.90 with 5yr warranty. They seemed to have mainly LG so that was what he showed me. It was the Swiss Cottage one.
What are your thoughts please?
Can you recommend another 32" tv? I dont play video games and don't want to spend more than 350 quid.
Thanks.

Ref the 50/100hz debate - all good comments, thanks... but then what spec CAN you look out for that means it doesn't look *complete* bobbins when viewing a PC on it. I've tried a newish samsung recently, and it was pretty much unuseable. Might have to pop down Currys and Richer with my laptop at this rate...

Anyone had their TV delivered yet? Mine has just been delayed until 25th Jan now.
