it would be, as long as you think that 50Hz would be enough...

Great deal but checked several Argos stores and sold out in all of them. Shame their website only lets you pick two stores at a time.

As a long time owner of LCD TV's, I say 50Hz is not only enough, it's preferrable if you don't like the effect given by 100Hz+ on LCD TV's (and MANY people agree, it's a wierd almost 'sped up' effect that a lot of people find irritating). I intentionally switch my TV's down to 50Hz. As long as it's a good panel, it will look just fine.

got this from sainsbury's for £399 around march... great TV. pic quality is excellent. HD looks great on it.
only downside is does not auto-sense an hdmi feed. have to switch source manually.
