This is an amazing deal even though its almost being replaced. I was seriously considering this earlier this year when a good deal for this was still over £1000. I'm glad I didn't buy this earlier...

how do you get £600 off, I have just looked in the trade in conditions and can't see anywhere about a £600 reduction... ?

what an awsome deal i seen this for £999 at the sony shop in liverpool with a £300 trade in (from £1,299) and was tempted but at this price its a steal

But are there terms to the TV you have to trade in to get that price?

ah good point when i was in the sony shop he said any tv so i said what a bout an old 15inch one he said ye thats fine but that might be different to JL

any old tv can be traded in its merely a promotional gimmic, unreal price!

Their prices seem to be different prices depending on which tv is traded.. I might try and see what happens if I order

suppose the only downside is having to buy the 3d tranmitter but even thats only £50 and if you can find a cheap bundle with glasses then even better. Superb Price!!

Very tempting, anyone know how much the extra 3d thing is?

£899 is the next cheapest i can see and thats without a 5 year guarantee. HOT!!! although i think that horacevankhute has this and he is a complete cock. Hopefully this TV does not turn you into someone like him

hot but I have already bought kdl40ex503 from JL and quite happy with it. This deal is temtping though.

It's likely to be a misprice, it should be £300 off. £150 because it's 46" and then doubled because it's 3D. In their terms and conditions it clearly states it's £300 for this TV johnlewis.com/jl_…pdf

It's not often John Lewis are the cheapest. If it's not a misprices, I hope the troll paid much much more for his.

Sony Bravia KDL46HX803 for £100 more at £799 seems a good price too.

Got to payment screen then out of stock, gutted!

803 seems to have a better specs of 200hz screen but doesnt have WIFI built in.

Gutted I missed out on this deal, but have to agree £799 for the hx803 is still a great deal.

I feel ur pain bruv

If you want it for 3D though you have to factor in the cost of the transmitter and glasses.

If you brought either TV, they do suffer from some crosstalk. Someone on avforums avforums.com/for…tml posted a Sony telephone number you can ring and they will send you a free pair of filters which apparently improve the crosstalk and the angles from which you can view 3D from.

The hx803 is the better TV so if you can afford the extra go for it!

NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO.....for the love of god, wwwwwhhhhyyyyyyy!

It's an error for sure. But these TVs will soon be selling for £699 without any trade ins so it's hardly the deal of the century if they get honoured. The current 3D technology is going nowhere despite the best efforts of the industry.

I have this tv and it's brilliant, picture is just superb, the 3D is also fantastic - certain programs do suffer from a little crosstalk but the nature documentaries and movies are just superb in 3D. Beware that the TV is so amazingly thin that the speakers are quite tinny - so you'll need to either hook up a home cinema system or buy the soundbar that the TV sits in - which I did - looks great and improves the sond no end. The built in wi-fi to watch iplayer and youtube etc...is great too.
