Looks like a good price for this TV. Not as cheap as the ebay/argos deal but you get 5 year Sony guarantee through Power Direct so IMHO this is the better deal.

The 807C was going on Tesco a few weeks back plus price match from JL for most people who asked so they still got a bit to go yet. Not hot from me but not cold either.
Have the 42" version of this in a bedroom, brilliant set. only problem I find is how slow it takes to start up and allow you to use the remote.
LG Smart tv is the same. A good 10 seconds before you can change the channel and about 20 seconds to access the tv guide.

Its a real shame as once its come to life its a brilliant set. Something I've learnt to live with really.

I switch the tv on and then go fill the kettle up and prepare a drink. Tv's seem to be taking longer to warm up now, similar to the CRT tv's of old. They are fast becoming more line mini pc's now, hence the start up time. Mine is slightly worse now as I have plugged in a hdd and that has to start up as well.
It's interesting. I'm in the market for a new medium sized HDTV.

Current frontrunners:

Samsung UE48H6400
Panasonic TX-50CS520

The Samsung at least probably edges this for the same money IMO

Does that make it "just right" then? oO
I bought this model recently (via John Lewis price match). I've upgraded the software but there are still a few occasional bugs (which a restart sorts out). Overall, I'm generally impressed and I'm fairly confident future updates will resolve some of the remaining bugs.

I'm planning to purchase a 4K tv at some point so will see how I get on with Android an make my decision probably around this time next year when today's newest models are at rock bottom prices.
Too big for my bedroom.
