I hope so

Yes, it will work with any box, etc that has scart or video out. You will have to set your router to open port 5021 if you want this unit to work. Not as up to date as a sling box, but bloody good value. You will also have to connect it via a network cable to your router, so make sure you have broadband and video feed in the same room, or lots of wiring involved.

Yes but you get a license for use on only 1 computer!

Some have a Vista licence code and disc + XP licence code and disc in the box (2 licences), luck of the draw if you get the XP version only. Sony UK have no idea that this unit has Vista support, and are still trying to work out why some units have Vista discs that they know nothing about.

Not totally, it sends a streaming video in the same way, but the slingbox has an internal tuner too (not a very good one!) and the Sony ONLY uses a video source such as a digibox or DVD player.

The Slingbox is nothing to get excited about either,it sort of works, but doesn't quite live up to expectations, I get the feeling the Sony device has similar quirks, but more of them!

hi
does anyone if its possible to connect this to my router through wifi or does it have to be hard wired

Hard wire only, wireless is for connection to laptop only. I suppose that if you set up a wireless device as a relay you could use it non hard wired.

Expired and, um, expired.

Can you take full control of the TV? does it have to be turned on or anything? I've never come across one of these before

Found one in stock at Hammersmith...
Reserved it but realised I can't make it down in time tomorrow after work to collect it...

Would anyone like the reservation code? :whistling:
