One of the most critically acclaimed Bluetooth headphones.
I love Bluetooth headphones and I want the best quality.
This has many cool features like the
Ambient Sound mode and Quick attention mode which means you are able to listen to your surroundings without taking the headphones off.
Great for conversations or train announcements etc.

The main competitor the Bose qc35 is £330 and has less features although some reviews say that for long term listening the qc35 is extremely comfortable.

Well spotted! Editted.
I like how you wrote not prime day, so you get hits when people search for 'prime' lol
Am I right in thinking these are no good for watching films with as there is a slight delay meaning lip-sync issues?

Not that I've noticed
Most TV's should have an audio sync setting as well if it is the case.

Ah. So that might be why the price has noticeably dropped at Amazon over the past few months:

Indeed, it must be impacting sales, more worryingly, there's always a huge amount of them in Amazon Warehouse with 'item may come repackaged' so I suspect many of these are reconditioned items that have experienced issues, or otherwise people slinging them back on either hearing of the issue, or seeing the beginnings of the problem (minuscule hairline cracks that will grow until they break).

Sony recently sold a load of reconditioned 1000x on their site for £169 (deal was listed here) but reading of the way with which Sony have handled this is enough to put me off purchasing them. With Amazon at least you can return eaily, but Sony have acted very poorly indeed - wear and tear? Sure.

they do
They are £230 in the Amazon warehouse, so if they all crack, might as well save the £50
My 'Used - Very Good ' ones from the warehouse just turned up. Earpads did look a bit worn at first, but some anti bacterial wipes and they look as good as new now. No scratches at all despite the listing saying they had cosmetic imperfections.

Fell in love with these cans when I tested them in John Lewis (incredible noise cancelling) so couldn't turn them down at £184.

Save over 100 quid and get the sennheiser 4.5s

Was going to buy these (for this price) at John Lewis recently but the cracking issue put me off and the way Sony treat their customers. Definitely better to get from John Lewis for the customer service, extended warranty, and i'd opt for the "accidental damage" extra because Sony are complete **** over the cracking problem.
I bought these after getting through 3 pairs of Bose QC25s in less than a year. With the Bose they all developed the exact same fault, the right ear cup started to fail. I was so frustrated because when working I loved them. So I opted for these, not quite as light and comfortable as the bose, but near a year on they still work great and get used just as much. Their noise cancellation produces slightly more white noise hiss than the Bose but I think blocks out more of the noise I want cancelled, background office noise.

For those suffering the cracking issue, I've fortunately not experienced this and I wear these headphones all the time, in fact I'm wearing now! I wonder if the issue is batch related, but if Bose can't be reliable nor these, it's disgusting given their cost. The Bose issue is due to the right ear cup folding action when put into the case, at least that's my theory, some googling of the problem backed this idea up. My wife has a pair that still work great but she rarely puts them in the case and now I've advised her not to, the headphones have lasted 4 times longer than any of the 3 pairs I owned. Off topic but thought I'd mention.

Fantastic headphones. Great deal. Hope they don't crack.

Will you receive the 12-month warranty when buying from Amazon Warehouse?

Really tempted but I just don't want to throw 200 quids away if it cracks.
