Best price so far for the new condition. Amazon warehouse are now out of stock but this is good deal and cheapest price I've seen for this model with 12 months manufacturer's warranty.

You're not really saving what you think you are. The new version of these just came out so everywhere is pretty much getting rid of stock and selling them at 199. So you're only really saving £10.

Friend bought them at John Lewis last week for 199, and Curry's are selling it for 199 as well. It's not really a 47% saving.

Hi, thanks for the info. It seems like they only recently went down to £200 so this seems like a good deal no? See camel:
uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Son…O5U

Is the new one really worth extra £150?

These aren't the new ones. The new ones are the MDR-1000XM2

Great price but worth noting that these have been superseded by the Sony WH-1000XM2. For the money however these are a no brainier for someone looking for High quality active noise cancelling at an affordable price. HOT!

I bought it as £329 around few month ago.
I think this is a good price for those after it, and I think it’s better than Bose Q35.

These are still very good, I just mean don't be fooled by Amazon telling you you're saving nearly half price.

I would recommend these headphones if you're in the market for a pair. Good sound and noise cancelling. In the top 3 of noise cancelling wireless headphones around.

OP stated that these are best price for 'new condition'. Amazon warehouse had these in stock for cheaper although not 'new'. The model name for the new version is WH-1000XM2, not MDR-1000XM2.

Even with the potential of cracking the headband so badly keen to order! These are in par with the Bose qc35 and they're £270! the qc25 are in offer for £189 however they aren't wireless like these! Decisions...🤔🤔

Same here, bought them for £329 few months ago and they do the job very well when it comes to ANC. However, its UX could be much better, I think.

Anyway, definitely worth that £190 if you're in the market for this kind of stuff.

Damn I bought them for £259 two weeks ago just before my flight.. Anyone knows whether Dixons at Heathrow accepts returns of opened goods?

Yeah the noise cancelling is #1 , Bose #2

Audio quaity better on these than the Bose, and the V2 of these aren't much different to justify the extra cost

You're buying from Amazon so if it cracks you can get a replacement or a refund. It's a win win.

Yeah the only issue is Sony have been terrible at giving replacements saying it's not a manufacturer fault, I would assume Amazon would pull the same!

If you bought them via Currys for example, then you would have to deal with Sony.

Amazon will replace it (or refund it) regardless of if you're a Prime customer or not. They won't even speak to Sony.

They refunded or replaced items I've bought like a Logitech remote with hub that was over a year old before.

Their customer service is unrivalled.

I bought mine 2 days ago when they were 199 on Amazon. Anyone know if Amazon will refund the price difference?

They don't do that any more.

Order another and return they ones you ordered originally.

Stupid that you have to do that.

Got them for £144 via Amazon Warehouse -20% deal (used, of course, but very good condition) when temporarily the price dropped to £181. Will find out though if they got any squeaks or headband issues... Hopefully not!

Absolute waste of resources. But I guess the did the calculations and found that more people just won't bother, rather than dish out the difference.

Agreed. They know that some people won't/can't be bothered.

I do it out of principal always.

Thanks for this link.... I've just checked mine and I have a similar (although at the moment smaller crack).... not good.... they are excellent headphones otherwise.... time to call Sony

I received £10 credit on my account via their chat. I had to ask for a supervisor and explain what a waste of time, postage and packaging it would be to send mine back and re order for the sake of £10.

I've been given a call reference number and told to call a service centre that is dealing with a "fault that has been known to affect a small number of these headphone headbands".

It appears that the headphones will have to be examined first and if the fault is found it will be sorted otherwise I'd have to pay. I wonder whether to just return them to Currys (where I bought them) but then who knows what they will do with them.... maybe direct to Sony is the safer bet.

I think I'm going to jump on it! Having read extensive reviews comparing them to the QC 35 they perform just as good, HOWEVER that was reviewed at them being basically the same price . At this price difference it's literally no brainier between these and the qc35 (apart from better build quality from Bose)

Yeah didn't even want to be in your exact position having Sony and a high Street retailer to deal with returns, because of the nature of the fault , they will try pass it off as your wearing them out, breaking them etc I'm assuming. Much easier to prove electronic faults.
Will risk it with Amazon as a user mentioned above and hope they have good returns!

Anyone got a comparison to the m50x that was on offer yesterday? Haven't been actively searching they just seem like a great well reviewed set at £99.

I've been impressed with my cheap £4.99 Bluetooth in ears so know the sound and interference has greatly improved over the last 5 or so years. I'm just worried about creaking and ruffling. I've only tried some bludio cheap £17-£22 or so pair that seem to come up on offer alot and thought they sucked out walking compared to using in ears. Thanks for any help.

I've also thought after 30 days amazon would send you to the manufacture like tesco ect mostly do ? (Known band issue and I've never dealt with sonys support)

has anybody bought (and already received ) the headphones on Warehouse Deals? was everything in order? I got some not so positive experiences with amazon recently (really badly packages items, missing parts, etc)

Although I don't - I'd say they're pretty different beasts. The m50xgm's are supposedly "studio" headphones (I bought my brother the mx50s last year, and they are superb), whereas I think these offer something quite different with their active noise-cancelling and bluetooth.

I deliberated over whether to go for the m50xgm offer last night, but was tipped against just because I see 3.5mm on its way out (although I bought a phone which *still* has a headphone jack recently!). I bought these, despite the warnings, because I hope Amazon will have my back if anything does go awry and at this price point they seem like a steal (as did the m50x last night).

Thanks, I know they are completely different in types. This will be my first over head headphones in a long while so I'm likely to use them indoors mainly. These are gone now so I guess it's one or none. Also if your unhappy with the quality ect amazon are good with returns.
Thanks

Ordered like new from Amazon Warehouse yesterday, with the extra 20% I paid £152. Received today and like new indeed, all the wrapping still on all the accessories, just annoyed that I would have paid 5-10 less if I had waited an extra day.

Expired. Well over £300 now.

Good to hear, still waiting for mine

These are great cans and actually support aptX over Bluetooth which the new Bose QC35 II still fail to include.

These headphones are just unbelievable. Wow is all I can say. Forgetting how superb the ANC is, the sound is just sublime.

My serial was in the 550000's. Fingers crossed they are ok.

If not, I know Amazon will send a new pair or I can get a refund.

Hope everyone else that bought these are enjoying them like me.
