my favourite headphones too, £12.87 at amazon, they were under £11 when I ordered back in Jan

Ive got these really good had em long time now and sound is great mind you i only paid £5 for em but that was when they 1st came out and before i joined Hotukdeals, got them as bonus when purchased my MP4 player

im on my third pair too... amazing headphones. esp if you dont like the fiddely in ear ones with removable buds (which always pop out n find a way to get lost!)..

got these for £3.97 in the cleaence in tesco

I'm currently using these. Got them after all the new in-ear ones just weren't comfy in my ears.

These are very good earphones. Obviously not as good as top range ones but definitely better than any other earphones around that price.

Better than Sennheiser CX300?

I have owned both, but I have never done a "head to head" as i got my CX300s some time after. I preferred the CX300s, but these Sony ones were quite good too. Definitive stuff eh?

Paid £30 for these years back. good phones

nice headphones! ive been using them for a good 3 years now... they usually last less than a year for me before the sound starts to go... think its my 5th pair now

unfortunately im going to have to vote cold cos ive payed this price for them off amazon and play everytime i ordered them!

good value for money headphones for those of you who are looking for a new set...

i wonder what these ones are like...

5 quid, they look similar to the mdr-ed21lp ones

come in snazzy colours and cost less than half!

These are on amazon for £8.65 ... but only worth it if you're buying something else I guess.

These headphones are very old but you know the old saying "if it aint broke don't fix it" I bought a pair of these for about £20 in Argos about 7-8 years back to use with my CD player, back in those days people used rubbish headphones but I wanted to get a good pair to get good sound quality, besides the buds don't stay in at all with the standard type so these fit snug gripping onto my ears. That was £20 well spent they lasted my through the 2 CD players and a mini CD player, then i lost them

I got my first iPod the mini one and i got the CX300 paying £30 for them they are good no doubt but they were a hassle they were actually not as snug as the Sony ones but they were of a different type, not a biggy they did stay for the most part the sound quality is very good but the bass was very overpowering. The buds would fall off a lot but usually i know when it happens and would be on the pavement looking for them, that or they come off in my bag and i have to empty the entire thing to find them annoying!! The pair eventually broke probably due to my carelessness. I got a second pair anyway and same experience but the bluescreen of death of headphones happened yep one of the ears went. They lasted my for the duration of 4 or so years? from my iPod mini (which got stolen) to my iPod 5G.

I then decided to go back to my first pair of non standard headphones, these! as my experience has truly been fantastic for its price, and Im not lying i really feel they sound better than the CX300s as the bass is very good but doesnt overpower the mid range and high notes, also you dont get the rubbing sound from the rubbing wire which you get in the CX300. I used it with my iPod 5G last year and use it to this day, i used it this morning on my now iPod Touch 2G, (my dad uses the 5G).

I also use them on my shuffle at the gym and I can evidently notice the lower sound quality the shuffle produces compared to the touch/5G using these headphones. They fit very snug and don't fall out when rowing, running etc i used the CX300s at the gym too, but they always shimmied their way out my ears as i exercised but they were easy to push in, it may not happen to you, my ears just suck! but even so the Sony MDR-ED21LPs are capable of staying in my deformed ears.

ohh i got these for £14 off ebay when i last got them.

i got these earphones years ago with a £30 cassette walkman

they were brilliant for years until i lost them :x

the sony ex-82 (think thats the model) earphones i got now are the best i've ever owned - much better than the cx300's. They were on play.com a few months ago for around £13/£14 which was amazing

You said these are a follow up. They are basically the same model just in black tho

These things are awesome. I've been buying them for years on end and ordered a new pair from Amazon 2 days ago for roughly the same price!

These have better sound, and are more durable, otherwise i woudnt be payin extra for them. I can say from personal experience they are great and IMO; reliable.

These look very similar to a pair Ive had for countless years now. Brilliant, so durable, fit perfectly in the ear, bass is great, rubber around the wires that connect to the earpieces so they dont tear open. Great buy I think I paid near £30 originally.

My pair I've had for almost 2 years broke yesterday.

I'll be buying another pair!
