Good ol' Amazon

Look like a good deal!

Just ordered 2 sets, thanks OP, I ordered 4 sets from the HMV Deal, but they sent me an email saying only 2 per customer, so this is great:D

Thanks ordered

All gone now...

Grabbed the last ones as spares for my current ones.

paolo

who ordered them all? Clicked add to basket and it shot up to £16!

I got the last one with 1-Click

paolo

how many did you order?

1 - it said it was the last in stock.

I knew it wouldn't last long, but I thought it'd be a bit longer than 30 mins or so. Damn - thought I'd get a bit of heat from this!

damn, I missed out again

expired !!!

2 in stock NOW!

I just ordered a pair? how is this expired???

Because there are none left?

Looks like Amazon have added some via Indigostarfish - which were not there when I ordered the last "direct" Amazon ones.

However if you try to add these to basket it says they are unavailable.

Lmao.
I looked again and they were there.
Tried to put them in basket and they`re gone!

it seems to change between none in stock and 1 or 2 in stock. I managed to place an order lets hope it gets here!!!

i had the same pair, amazing sound quality, but broke after just a year.

£16.90 now.

Grrr! These are pretty good but yes dont last too long. Ive just got a slightly cheaper pair of sony in-ears from tesco but sound is nowhere near as good

Any suggestions for in-ear phones where the cable isn't likely to break under normal use? I've managed to destroy an expensive pair (Klipsch) which claimed that the cable shield was tough. Does any manufacture use 'normal' cable which can be repaired (i.e. soldered easily)?

If it breaks withing 12 months then use the gurantee, Creative sent me a new pair.

Too slow. Was just about to post this when it had already expired - before I had actually ordered them myself oO

expired.... link shows price of 16.90

Protip: nearly all Sony and other branded 'bud' earphones sold by third party companies that you've never heard of (in this case 'AVIDES') are fakes. I have no evidence of these being fakes, but, well, I'd be shocked if they weren't. Sony has a legitimate dealer network and pricing structure.

Nearly all headphones on ebay are fakes. I have ordered several. They were all fake, even if the packaging was at first glance convincing.

good old chinese (and it's ALWAYS chinese origin) as always stealing other people's copyrights, trademarks, and the like.

^^

Have to agree. Only buy earphones from established retailers. Amazon proper (NOT Marketplace Sellers) being top of the list.

If it's too good to be true...

The original link was a sale through Amazon, or there preferred seller Indigostarfish, and im sure they are originals!!!

Golden rule: Always purchase the item yourself first (if you want it) before posting here!

I tried to return my set to HMV when they broke after about 8-months (with no outside damage). And they said it wasn't covered by the warranty, such ****.

Think I am gonna try again after contacting sony and them saying it should be covered, but the return are done through the retailer.

That said Skullcandy sent me a new set easy as when they broke.

Can anyone suggest any good in-ear headphones around the £15 bracket that doesn't leak any sound even if the volume is up pretty high? I hate the fact that I have to have my headphones on the volume just under half way so that the noise is limited to the public

I wouldnt reckon so because it would cost them far too much to manufacture.

However if you can find a pair of old Sony MDR-EX082 headphones-bundled with the NW-A808 mp3 player... I still have a pair (they are noise cancelling but only with the sony mp3 players that support them) that have outlasted 2 mp3 players and are still going strong! (Probably 4-5 years old now). (I think MDREX85 is latest version-visually identical)

I also recently had a pair of MDR-EX35s which died after 8 months of use 7-8 hrs running per week and replaced them with MDR-EX10 last week (which are noticeably lower quality than the ex35s)-but at £6 cant complain if im replacing them so often

These are the headphones I currently have, and they seem to leak sound?

You tried a different sized bud? I listen to my music between 3/4 and full on my iPod and have used these earphones since they first came out. Not the same ones as i tend to be clumsy when it comes to earphones though and break them quite often.
