These are no good if you wear specs. Would rather buy something else, even for DJing they are a bit fiddly and annoying.

these have been this price for a while.

agree with the above post. better spending a few extra quid and getting something a little bit better. bought these for £6.49 a while ago from play. very basic headphones.....

voted cold as old headphones, old price

Got a couple of pairs, great for the kids DVD player in the car

These might be old but unless you spend £100 more you wont notice the difference in audio compared to other headphones in the £10 to £90 price range.

I agree that they sound good and importantly are really comfortable. I only stopped using mine because they headband bit snapped after 5 years and wouldn't stay fixed using glue and duct tape. I used them for general listening at night but for music I have Grado SR80s that are also in the £10-£90 range but sound a lot better :P

Really? I'm no audiophile, but everything I've read and heard suggests that theres a world of difference between £10 and £90 headphones. Are you telling me that a cheap pair of cans or a pair of Skullcandy headphones will give the same quality of sound as a pair of £90 Sennheisers or Bayerdynamics?

Sennheiser HD 428.. Closed back, portable and under £50 limits your options there

Have you actually tried these headphones? if yes tell me which headphones under £90 you think have a noticeable difference in audio quality that you have compared/tried out.

My girlfriend has a pair of Skullcandys (she likes the fact they're pink X)), while I have some Sennheiser 448s which I bought for around £60. And yes, theres a big difference in sound quality.... even she notices that, and she's not one for high tech gadgetry. Whether this model is any good I couldn't honestly say, but to say that all headphones under £90 are equal is rubbish. Here is a good post that I think gives a good idea about headphone prices.

I usually ignore trolls, but unfortunately I don't think you're trolling.

Wait what? you and the idiot above you must have got confused about what I wrote, I didnt say any cheap headphones, I am talking about these sony ones, I know you can hear difference between crappy headphones and other slightly high priced headphones, but im saying these particular headphones are really good and the headphones I have compared are not worth the price difference!!

You should of read my post properly before commenting, I was only talking about these headphones!

As mentioned on the thread last time these were this price (they weren't last week, I checked), these are DJ phones, for monitoring etc. I find them perfectly serviceable, comfortable and decent sounding. I couldn't give a rat's ass whose expensive headphones are better, these headphones are worth 9 quid delivered, end of. Seen three pairs on heads in the street this week alone, aside from that.

they show at £10.89 for me someone correct me if im missing something here

Careful who you are calling an idiot.

I have these Sony headphones right here. Do they sound in the same league as these richersounds.com/pro…r60

No.

Ah well you should have been clearer in the first post. You said that you wouldn't notice the difference in audio, implying that these headphones and all other headphones in the £10-£90 range sound the same. If you think that these headphones are just as good as £90 headphones then thats fair enough, I gotcha.

Agreed that there is no need for name-calling btw.

The fact of the matter is most people are listening to MP3s with these headphones so you are not going to get the benefit out of having £90 headphones anyways. expensive headphones thrive on uncompressed formats. with mp3 the quality is lost before the sound even enters your headphones. these Sony headphones will be just fine for anyone playing mp3 music as you are not going to get much better unless you start listening to uncompressed formats first. this is another argument however.

I really like the sound of the Sony MDR-V150 Headphones and this is probably a stupid question but do they work/compatable with an ipohone 4? Will I need any sort of adapater?
