Product information

The Sony MDR-ZX770BN are a pair of

wireless, noise cancelling headphones which are designed to reduce 98%

of ambient noise. With a battery life of up to 13 hours and offering a

comfortable fit, the headphones give you the freedom to enjoy your music

wherever you are.

Big sounds

These Sony headphones are well equipped to unleash a clean, signature

sound which packs in the deep bass. Each ear houses a 40mm driver behind

the cloth grills which delivers superb sound across a frequency

response range from 8Hz to 22kHz. And with Beat Response Control,

distortion on bass at high volume is avoided by limiting the peaks in

certain frequency ranges.

Noise cancelling

When you’re listening to music, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)

technology is designed to reduce up to 98% of ambient noise. This

automatically strikes a balance between your music and the world

outside.

Wireless streaming

An NFC chip has been embedded into the left ear cup for one-touch

Bluetooth aptX pairing. This means that you can stream your favourite

playlists across a 10 metre range from your Android or iOS device direct

to the headphones, instantly.

Functionality

The right ear’s outer side panel features volume controls which work

independently with your mobile devices. There is even a toggle

switch/button which handles the Play/Pause/ Call Answer and Call End of

the built-in microphone. Also, the Skip Track functions is useful when

you are quickly trying to source a particular track.

On the left ear panel you will find the Power button, Bluetooth status LED and a micro USB connection for the charging cable (included).

For up to 13 hours you’ll be able to enjoy your favourite playlists

across a Bluetooth connection. And will take 2.5 hours (approx) to reach

full charge again.

Comfortable design

The over-ear design of the ear cups offers a secure and comfortable fit.

The inner cups are made from black faux leather that is soft and supple

to the touch. Better still, these ear cups cam pivot 90-dgrees so they

can lie flat for easy, compact storage.

Instead of worrying about 1 years extra warranty and comments on the most important things, sound? Build quality? Battery life?

So the Amazon deal is the better one, lol. 2 year guarentee anyway and 99p cheaper!
Does anyone know if you could possibly sync these to a Playstation 4?

The one you quoted with the 2 year guarantee is the John Lewis deal. Worth the quid extra for another years warranty. Say that was the better deal.

Anyway amazon has price matched JL and increased their price by 99 pence :-)

I think I get you now. Does the UK not have a 2 year warranty for all electrical goods as part of our consumer rights?

I think so, but either way Amazon has 2 year warranty for sure.

Amazon Warehouse (used items) has 1 year warranty.

I hope you get 1 year warranty, you buy them, and they break after 366 days.

For your other questions, heard of google? I hear its a great resource to find information and reviews on products.

Sorry to say but dazdragon point was valid. If you direct him to google, what brings you to this site ..? You can get all the prices by googling

You can try these out at Curry's (I think the serial is ZX770BL, but the only difference is the headphones are blue I believe). I wasn't impressed by the noise-cancellation - but that at this price point you can't expect miracles.

Point is, I'd go in-store and see if you like them.

I have a pair of these in the blue variant. Very pleased with them. Very comfortable, sound great, battery life is excellent.
These are quite an old model aren't they? All the reviews seem to be from c. 2015.
What is the bass like? Are they tinny?
I have these. Very good sound, though as already stated the noise cancelling could be better. Solid build. Can't complain for that price. My only gripe is the lack of a clear battery indicater.

I'm looking for a pair of wireless headphones purely for the noise cancelling ability (not bothered by sound quality). Could you recommend a pair around the £50-150 price range?

I agree to a certain point, I've definitely needed a break after watching a film but they're definitely more comfortable than my old klipsch headphones.
These are good for the price. Decent noise cancellation and good sound quality. Only area where I did not like them in call quality - which seems to be a problem with all noise cancelling wireless headphones. End up being too noisy for the person on the other end of the call.
