Sure you can get these for a fiver on ebay! LOL

Voted warm as I'm not up on the exact prices.

The 2gb cards are only £17.99 so its cheaper to get four of them. Although you do have the hassle of having to carry them all around and swap them then.

Sandisk do a 4gb memory stick duo for around £35 so even two of those are a better deal and the sandisk ones are better perfoming cards than the sony ones IMO

However at £84.99 that is probably the best price i have seen this for so on that basis voted hot

Can the PSP see 8 gig? - don't know why, but i thought 4 gig was the max a PSP can use at once??

Newer firmwares allow up to 8GB or 16GB I believe.

Cheap for a single 8GB card though- they were atleast 125 when they first came out.

ps; this MC won't work in almost any phone that accepts pro duo - the max a phone (sony ercissons) can read is 4GB.

The access time on one of these would be terrible anyway I think.

A good price nevertheless way too overpriced just like many of Sony's other products. TBH I would wait for the Sandisk 8gb Pro Duo stick which will no doubt out this and and like always Sandisk will undercut Sony's price.

Then why vote at all if you are not sure its a deal?:?

Just to confirm that these 8GB cards work fine on the PSP after 2.80 firmware.
Got 2 of these genuine sony cards, and they work great. 1 for me and one for my son

Load times are quick, and anyway quicker than reading from UMD.
No point carrying a load of 2 GB cards around, when these are so much more convenient
