Feels like an offer from 20 years ago.

Styling hasnt changed much either. No DAB these days is a big miss too.

    DAB sounds pants.

Surely any car you would fit one of these into is worth less than this stereo now?

My factory fitted one was poor to be honest so I purchased an adapter plate and fitted a single din unit similar to this. I do miss the large screen from the original but at the end of the day I would rather have a good sounding system than a fancy display

    ahh the single DIN

I can see it now 20 years ago in my 91 astra GL
mind GL, i.e. rear headrests! oh yes!

you know what, I'd buy the adapter to go back to that!

CD and BT. That’s a very rare combo especially in a single din unit.

On thing missing is DAB but since it sound rubbish, it’s not a big loss.

Ah great times, when you go out on Friday night, get in the car and smash that “Extra Bass” button.

It appears cheap but some interesting things make this a bit of a no for me. Is it a CD player? Spec's don't mention it but there looks like a slot and the Sony website calls it a CD receiver, but says nothing else about CD. It's Bluetooth a 3.0, and does SBC and AAC, which is rubbish selection these days, especially with aptX, and LDAC availability. If it was confirmed CD then perhaps.

    Here is the manual

Looks like it does play CDs

The sound is okay, but the phone app is dire. Also no dab. I have a similar model. Quite configurable in the sound dept. I have it hooked up to a subwoofer in my classic mini.

I have a double din Sony, never bothered with the app...everything works fine for me with the phone for making and receiving calls from the head unit.
