Wow, neat device. Didn't know there was such a thing.

Seen several of these devices but this one is particularly neat. Shame it's not made by ONKYO. I won't buy Sony stuff. not voted either way :¬}

cold, OTG cable usually £1 on ebay + 16GB flashdrive for around £5 = £6

But this is a different proposition to carrying round the otg cable as well-don't think it is a reason to vote cold. Don't think the thread is based solely on how cheap you can get 16gb of storage connected to your device

Very strange comment apart from the fact they are both Japanese companys i don't get the relevance ONKYO don't make anything similar they specialise in home cinema and audio products.

Possible cheaper alternative? Prefer the quality and size of the Sony though

Just look at any past post for an Onkyo AV amp. It's an ongoing meme.

would never trust a transcend product ever again. had a 16gb sd card for my camera. class 10 so should have been fine and ended up with about 1500 corrupt photos from holiday and Christmas. bought the same spec Sony card and not had an issue.

Awesome flash drive

This is HotUKDeals. Not CheapestPriceForAParticularItem. When compared to other solutions to gain 16GB of extra storage space on a device this is massively over priced. The extra plastic (or lack thereof) does not justify the difference.

Nonsense. You are paying for the convenience of the form factor and miniaturisation costs. Why is this so hard for people to understand?

Right, and it's not worth the difference. There are cheaper alternatives that do the same thing as this and provide a microSD card reader slot as well on ebay etc.

Seen them. They are all noticeably bigger, however. I own a Meenova and this is still smaller. Depends upon your needs but this is still a valid product for the moment until the cheaper clones become available.

Ridiculous point-this isn't simply about getting more storage to your device it is the practicality of having storage on the go that you can use in any device on it's own without separate cables. It's like me saying there's better solutions (because it can be done cheaper) than the speaker deal etc you have posted in the past

I quite like the look of these, how well do they fit if you have a heavy duty case?

not worth £14 more IMO... OTG cables are usually very small anyway

The Transcend 32gb OTG flash drive is £16.50 at Amazon so paying £2 for an OTG cable and then maybe £12 for a 32gb regular flash drive gives a £2.50 saving
