]Various holsters & cases for the player.

Pros:

- extraordinary battery life
- superb quality screen
- very good audio playback quality
- drag & drop file transfer (no Sony utility software needed)
- good headphones (not the usual junk most manufacturers include, these retail for > £10 on their own)

Negs:

- no OGG / FLAC support :x
- no FM radio
- no microphone
- no memory card slot
- no mini-USB (I hate proprietary connectors on USB cables!)
- not cool like an ipod (acording to ]Mascherano)

Thank god!! Try putting this in your ears and cool goes out the window!!

I got rid of my iPod for this exact Walkman.. Sure, it doesn't look quite as cool as an iPod but it's a whole lot better to use.. I paid £59 9 months ago, so I reckon this is a great price..

does this use the drag and drop option for putting songs on.

coz if does theres ya pro rite there. itunes SUCKS

Great kit, great price.
heat

where did you see this? Thx!

Is this the BT one?

Lucky to find one... posted 6 weeks ago at this price

Great price, heat and rep. But must be the ugliest Sony product ever.

looks good price i have the model up nwz639 16gb with radio. brilliant player and this looks similar to it, should be drag and drop so putting songs on is a doddle and hopefully bbc1 player compatable so you can put your missed programmes on .

I grabbed a couple of these when they were available at this price at my local Sainsbury's and they went down a storm at Christmas. Excellent Audio Quality and for track management I use Media Monkey which is superb. Top Tip - If you want to drag and drop video files make sure you have at least Windows Media Player 11 installed, I could only get audio across until I noticed that...

Yes, you can drag/drop or use their utility software (which apparently auto converts videos to fit the screen)

Nope. I saw that offer at PC World 8month ago (player with BT neckband headphones). Kicked myself for weeks, for not finding a shop with available stock.

Baaa Baaa Baaa.

Here's an idea or two for your new year resolutions......to be less sarcy.
OR
Try to be less demeaning to posters, especially those new to the forum.
OR
If the deal doesn't appeal or is of no interest to you, slide on by without being a wiseguy.
OR
Think before you post

No offence meant of course. Happy New Year

Ask customer services to do a stock check on other localish stores?

Notice, it's called NWZA728, not NWZ-A728 on the Sainsburys till receipt.

good informative comment but just thought I would add that the earphones actually retail for around £40. Play.com did them for £12.99 a while back but that only lasted about a month or two! Also in comparison I found these MUCH better than sound than my cx300... they aren't very reliable though - I've gone through at least two!

Same type only ..16gb in the ebay argos clearence store for £65 ish.........got onesame price last year , free post then, not now through..they have loads for sale......good headphones also......worth £20 on there own..hope this is help to those who cant find this 8gb one..........cheers all, ......love the sonys myself.

excellent mp3 player, allows you to download BBC iplayer to it as well

I like the price, ipod's are overpriced compared to other devices with the same capacity.

Be very lucky to get hold of these, would be interested if more than the op can get them

I got the price from a quick Google search earlier on, which produced 2 stores selling them for ~ £12 delivered.
After reading your comment I had another look, turns out both of those stores are DealExtreme style Hong Kong outfits. :whistling:

I will not post it to you.

But if you would like me to buy one and keep it safe, until you come through London to collect it - I am fine with that.

bbc programmes are like 650mb for 1 hour and quality isant great, bbc should have chosen divx

Must be store specific as none of the big north east branches have them at this price or if in stock at all:x

PVR anyone? For a mere £129 (price of the player not included!) you can turn some of the Sony video players into video recorders. As an added bonus it also charges the player's batteries. :w00t:

Correction, the NWZ-A728 is not compatible with the cradle.
