This is on offer in argos at the moment, down to £29.99 so you save £5 with this deal ;-)

The battery life on this is absolutely fantastic, good price at £24.99!

good price, these are good, sony walkman mp3 players - the red light flashing to your music is cool. just bought

I had one of the similar older models, great little players and well worth the money (although mine was £17.99 from play for a short time).

might go for this. my walkman had a fight with the washing machine and lost yesterday. RIP.

Great post

My wife bought me this for Christmas, paid £22 at Amazon at the time so the price has been fluctuating for a while.

I've put a review on Amazon - this is nothing special, be warned that if you like to play music randomly it only generates the 'random' playlist once then plays the tracks in the same order. If you switch it off say on track 20 of the list it will restart where you left off in that track, but then go back to the beginning!

This might be common with these small players but it was a deal breaker for me.

Not rated.

[edit: the 'three-line colour LCD' is not in fact colour, and the flashing red LED doesn't work all the time - I think it only works if you haven't changed the settings in the equaliser, something like that)

I really liked my last Sony MP3 walkman but it died after 10 months - they wouldn't repair it and had no more stock so I got a refund from Play.com. Lots of other people seem to have theirs die after about 14 months (2 months AFTER the warranty runs out!) so I guess I was lucky.

Looks like a good deal if you buy the optional 3 year warranty/accidental damage insurance for £7.99 extra (or £5.99 extra if you get it from Argos)

Lucky - a much more expensive repair if the walkman won!

Now I have an idea for a new website/series of youtube videos - when household appliances clash!!!
I'm gonna set my hoover on the fridge-freezer and see who wins tonight!

I'd not thought about it like that. I should be happy, not sad!
