Seems like a good deal. Does anyone know if this come with a UK and EU plug?

Not sure - but shouldn't be an issue even if it doesn't, just needs a regular mini-8 kettle lead - the same one the Sky Box uses

Is there any point in picking one of these up if you already have a PS4? It doesn't seem like too much of an upgrade

It's a worthwhile upgrade if you're using a first gen PS4 which is showing its age, and also have a 4k TV to see some of the better visuals but realistically, the gains aren't significant. It's a much better proposition if you don't have a PS4.

For me however, even though I have a 4K TV, it made more sense to wait for the ps5 which is likely to be out next year - it supposedly backwards compatible with all previous generations (PS1+2+3 via ps now, and PS4 native) and will no doubt be much better than the Pro by a significant margin

Okay now that's thrown a spanner in the works! SO I donlt have a PS4 or a 4K TV so should I just wait for the PS5?

Sorry, that's just my personal preference - the ps5 is likely to be upwards of £500 on release based on PS4 and PS3, which I've been saving up for anyway.

If you didn't have a PS4 at all, the Pro would be the one to go for, or the Slim if you don't have a 4K TV (and are unlikely to get one in the next couple years). The difference between the Slim and the Pro are apparent, but you're not going to see much difference at 1080p other than faster load times.

There is one big advantage of waiting for the PS5 however - all release consoles usually have issues that are ironed out as the console ages, and new revisions are released normally at a much lower price point. As an example, the PS4 has has 2 major revisions since it's been released (C Chassis Fat Boy and the Slim) both which both ran cooler than the original. The Pro has also had at least one revision, as release consoles had issues with the fan.

If I were you, I'd wait for the PS5 slim when it comes out, and enjoy the PS4 pro/slim in the meantime - you can't go wrong

Hmmm okay thanks for the advice. I will be upgrading to 4k very shortly and want a decent run from the console therefore will just wait for the PS5 - thank you for the really helpful advice
Thanks OP. I'm very tempted by this. Was wanting a Red Dead redemption package , but the cheapest for that at the mo is £299 and doesn't seem to be budging and need it before xmas. So thinking this is probably a better deal buying console and then read dead seperate!
