Yup, realised that, and have since edited
Get it, buy a compatible USB drive and hack it. The included games really haven't held up well unfortunately.

First thing you need to do is to get a compatible USB stick. There was a deal on here about four weeks ago for a San Disk Cruzer 2.0 64gb drive, that's the one you want. After that you can do a little Googling to you go on from there, it's just a case of extracting some files from a zip folder and dragging across to your memory stick essentially.

I would 100% recommend making sure you install the OTG support version

edit: unless you’re happy playing single player and/or you don’t mind your setup to look untidy.

15 July 2019 this was £15.99 at Amazon. It is rather a faff to add extra games to it, I had to try a few times and had a few problems with different usb drives. Even rammed with games it's gone into the box of 'to eBay shortly'.

I have a new sealed TrueBlue crackhead pack if you’re interested? I purchased a PS classic but decided to give it away as a Xmas present so the game stick is going spare. Just after what I paid from Amazon - £20

It takes no more than 5 minutes to search and find which USB sticks are compatible to install the mod (almost any 32GB USB 2.0 stick), then install the OTG support version. This will allow you to connect a OTG cable (few quid on eBay, Amazon etc.) at the back of the console, which then means any USB stick is then compatible and frees up both controller ports at the front. The rest is adding the relevant ROMs to the correct folder... It really isn’t rocket science

Nice! Trying to find a SNES Classic at a decent price but they appear to be rarer than flamedeer poop..

You probably won’t be able to use the 128GB stick to install the mod, as it is recommended to format to FAT32 (which is not as simple on a large sized stick). Also the 2nd player port (which is used to install the mod) has power restrictions, which is why mainly only USB 2.0 low memory sticks work without a USB power adapter.

Just get this and mod it, with retroarch installed it will play SNES games better than the actual SNES classic. Only disadvantage is not having SNES controllers...

I got it at £16 too. Keeping it as an ornament for the controllers. It's never been turned on and probably never will be.

I did all that on a smaller 2.0 drive and then changed to a larger 3.0 drive, which you can do, but suffered from some horrendous load times. It isn't rocket science, but it is rather long winded. Needing specific drives, OTG cable, the chance that the install might work a bit differently some times etc makes it all a bit of a faff as I stated.
Just saw this at the Sony centre . Not sure if it’s an early April fools joke
