I somehow think your 8 year old won't be the same person after playing Resident Evil 7 in VR
Tempted....but cant help feel that there is still one fantastic deal about to appear for the psvr....

It’s blurry for me, it’s not sharp as HD content. Makes me sick. I used both codes. Hope Argos will accept the return. Figure crossed [Image]

Blurry should just be a case of moving the headset around a bit until the lenses line up with your eyes properly. There is also a calibration thing you can do where the PS4 measures the distance between your eyes to make it perfect.

Do it! It's amazing! Especially love Astrobot. It's like Mario with coins and rescuing other bots, but in VR. You even see your controller in the VR world and the bots you rescue jump into it. I was absolutely bowled over by it.

Or do it when Amazon next have a deal so you can return if you don't like it. But doubt you won't like it!

If you buy from their website direct, you can add the specially 'selected' titles of Astrobot or Everybody's Golf for an extra £10(!)! Oh don't you just love Argos...

I bet you someone's clueless parents will end up buying 2 copies of these games - it just has to happen. Hopefully, they won't discover until Christmas Day.

Though honestly that's a good price for a separate copy of Astro Bot, might make a good pressie for someone.
That's a hot deal

I'm surprised someone hasn't been by yet to tell you how much more you can save by trading either of those in at CEX

Yes it will run fine on normal PS4. But no it is no suitable for an 8 year old. However, motion sickness reaction is entirely different from person to person.

Is it the motion sickness that makes it unsuitable? Know its advertised at over 12s but thought they were probably just overstating it

I get proper motion sickness myself otherwise I wanted it for me!

Because of environmental hazards i.e. the child might hurt themselves whilst playing and other risks associated. Also, always take into account the risk of seizures if you are buying for a child.

Motion sickness improves based on the number of hours you put into it. I was getting properly sick at first but I have no sickness anymore. Also the earlier games were intensifying the sickness, i.e. RIGS is one to avoid. But the newer one are more PSVR sckiness-friendly.

+1 for Astrobots. Simply a game that must be experienced to know how good it is. The music is fantastic too.

Can't see them accepting the return if you've used the codes but good luck! As someone else said, adjusting the settings and the placement makes a big difference. It does look much better on a Pro too, but not suggesting you upgrade just for that (although that's what I did.) I was bowled over pretty quickly by the immersion, but I would give it another few go's to try and get used to it as it works so well once you're "in it".

I think the 12yr plus is due to eye strain and damaging the muscles in the eye on a young child.
So tempted!! Must.... resist....
I would be killed if I bought this.

You need a PSVR to balance out the three MS consoles .

It was blurry for me the first time I tried it not sure if we need to get use to it but I had blurry vision the rest of the day in one eye, you can adjust the setting for each eye which I did. Tried it again after the blurry vision went 2 days later I think. i cleaned it with the cloth they gave this time. It's crystal clear now.

When I tried it at a recent Comic Con I felt the same way. I just figured that it wasn't set/adjusted correctly... but now I'm kinda concerned about ever buying one now. I do need glasses for mid distance and beyond although I have absolutely no idea how that fact interacts with VR headsets or if it doesn't at all. (I'd assume that it doesn't, as it's essentially a point blank screen - right?)
You keep your glasses on with the headset over the top, just adjust it for most comfortable fit.
Also as others have said make sure you keep a cleaning cloth handy for the lenses as it's easy to smear them with greasy fingers and make games look blurry.

I'd echo the earlier comments about Astrobot. I've had PSVR for over a year now but that game really showcases how immersive a well designed PSVR game can be. Hands down the best title available for PSVR, and one of those games good enough to sell a piece of hardware imo.

I've got Ace Combat 7 lined up as a Christmas pressie and can't wait to try that with PSVR, it looks amazing.

Well there's a big 18 right there on the box, so no parent would let their child play it. Because parents want to protect their children, right?
Looks like PICKME5 code has been pulled
