I've owned it, so from experience, it's quite a niche product, and not one the Xbox needs right now. It's good, but great? No, not really, the graphics aren't there, there's no longevity to any of the games, and it's a very solo experience when you're in there if you have people around you. It's a bit of fun for a week or so.

Well said. I’ve had it for a week or so and after that time I felt guilty for buying it as novelty factor gone.

I sold mine after a month of owning it at launch for those kind of reasons. Although there are many more titles for it now, so I'm tempted to dip back in. Just want it to be cable free.
There are plenty of games with longevity and a few will be getting VR upgraded soon. No Mans Sky will soon have VR

I suspect you haven't played many of the games. There are a good few with longevity, SP and MP - Wipeout Omega, Firewall, Dirt Rally, Skyrim, RE7, Eve Valkyrie, Farpoint, Sprint Vector, Rec Room etc.

Wipeout, Skyrim, Dirty Rally and RE7 I've played to death already before VR, they're old. Firewall from memory was 3 maps? Short modes, good for a few hours. The rest are messing around budget games that granted I didn't play because they didn't appeal to me. Give me some AAA immersive, 30hr+ new games and I'm all ears. I don't doubt the technology, it's immersive, but it's not there yet.

You've played some already and Rec Room is F2P (the others aren't budget).
You're shifting the goalposts though. You said there's no longevity to any of the games and that's just not accurate at all.
Those games are just the ones I thought of that I've played. There are probably a lot more that I haven't tried yet.
Firewall has ten maps, not three (with an 11th releasing soon).

OK, a very limited number of old games have any longevity, does that work better? Rec room is definitely a budget indie game, they had to crowd fund to create it.

Their age doesn't make them any less worthy though, especially since Dempsey said they don't have a PS4 yet. The others do have plenty of longevity.
I didn't say Rec Room wasn't budget. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean others like Dempsey won't.
I get that you're not personally satisfied with the PS VR games, but that doesn't mean it'll be the same for others.

I tried to be impartial, I'm never going to please you.... At least respect my opinion without trying to say I'm wrong.

I respect your right to your opinion but your first statement "there's no longevity to any of the games" is incorrect, as was your guess about Firewall.
I simply don't want potential buyers to be put off because of incorrect info.

I owned and played Firewall, no guessing, it felt like 3 maps, but again, I gave up because the loading times were horrendous between games. If you think £200 justifies 3 old games, fair play. Why aren't you arguing this out with the other couple of people who agreed with me?

You want people to like it, I'm just weighing in with my opinion.

I'm referring to the incorrect guess about the number of maps, which is 10, not 3 (with an 11th being added soon).

I think ~£190 is more than justified by the quality games in this bundle, new & old, as well as the other examples I mentioned, and who knows how many others I haven't tried yet. I also don't need every game to be 30hr+ in order to enjoy it.

I'm responding to you because of the incorrect info that was stated.
I've nothing against you personally, I've no idea who you are. But again I simply don't want potential buyers to be put off because of incorrect info.

The best thing for Dempsey & other potential buyers is to try it for themselves. They may not be satisfied like you, or they may be more than satisfied like me.

I think there are more than enough quality games on the system to consider it worthwhile, yes. I also think potential buyers shouldn't be misled.
I notice that an old PS VR deal of mine was downvoted the same minute you left that comment.

A thread gets downvoted, you lose your magic Internet points, it doesn't matter. What matters is someone can see two sides of the coin, we're all adults, and we can decide for ourselves.

I know it doesn't matter. I'm not saying it was you, but if it was, then that would be very petty.
Indeed people can decide for themselves, and they can make better decisions with the correct info.
Good deal, although it's probably still a better to buy the Mega Pack from Smyth's toys for £209 and get Blood and Fury thrown in free
Bit pricey for a gimmick with not much to play and crappy graphics
