Maybe, but it's a dinosaur now compared to the new Kindle, and the fact it is more expensive makes it a non runner for me,especially with the free worlwide 3G on the Kindle.

I do use calibre.

I was just making the point that you're not locked into Amazon's DRM with an e-reader like this Sony.

Okay im knew to all of this Ereader business and recently after a bit of research i concluded that the new Kindle look like the best to me, 2 things though i take it that the free worlwide 3G would let you connect to both Amazon US & UK Kindle store? and what is this calibre all about? thanks anyway

So will calibre convert all my current pdf's and ebooks to work on the kindle?

I already have the prs-300 but am a sucker for a new toy.

It will convert your PDF files to mobi format but the Kindle can also read PDF files. You will have a problem converting any DRM files though
I also agree with a previous comment, the new Kindle makes the Sony 606 look very expensive.

Anyone want to by a Sony 505 and 300?

new toy? this is the same generation as your prs-300! the screen on the prs-600 is nowhere near as good as my new prs-350 touch screen or the new prs-650.
