a great price for an e reader but i must say i have just got an amazon kindle and the on the move download from the amazon store is amazing, saves having to plug into the computer etc... we worth the extra £50 imhp

These are the future for books. What is needed is an E Library, say £1 for three weeks and we can stop wasting millions of tons of paper per year. Apparently, millions of unwanted new books are pulped each year, better for the environment if the were not printed in the first place. Voted hot.

Its not a pink cover ... its a pink electronic device

Is it waterproof ie drop it in bath?
does it bounce ie fall asleep in bed whilst reading?

is a book waterproof if you drop it in the bath (Image of Frankthesurf laminating all of his books)?

Can I download books from my PC (ie RTF files etc) or do I have to use some pain in the backside bit of software?

my g/f's copy of harry potter 4 ( or 5? can't remember) wasn't waterproof when i dropped it in the bath - she still gives me grief about it and that was two houses ago!!

dunno about anyone else, but i can download books straight from my pc - prs300 takes a wide range of formats, but if it isn't in the right format, i use a fantastic little free program called calibre to convert to correct format, set up especially for my particular reader (it has a range of set up options for other readers).

it wil convert a normal novel in literally about 3 seconds, plus you can batch convert.

as i have said in previous ebook threads, there is a canny little site called www.baen.com which has about 50 free sci-fi novels (and i don't mean classic out of copyright stuff like "1984" or "dracula") - but books that the authors have decided to make free. i've downloaded about twenty which means i can experience a whole range of authors which to be honest i would never otherwise have come across, were it not for this reader.

they are marvellous little gadgets.

mine may be pink (well, more a purpley-pink) - but i'm very pleased and proud of it.

so there

oh, and happy new year

If you are looking for books for your reader try a search for "e-books" on eBay.
