I bought my Vita on release in 2012 and still play it now and again. It has a surprisingly good library for a “failed” console. Because of the size of the screen PS1 games look a lot better than they do in a big TV too. The only downside is the cost of the memory cards. I wouldn’t suggest anything less than a 16GB.

Music magpie are not good. People sell to them as items are on last legs.... they just spin them round. They offer a 1 year guarantee but will try to void it for any reason.

Cheers for the heads up OP. May I ask to those with a better knowledge than myself is £147.99 a good price for the Microsoft Xbox One With Kinect 500GB Black?

Personally I would buy it from cex, they are £150.00 but that's without the kinect. You get 2 years warranty and at least your able to scroll down to the store if there's an issue with the console. Plus you able to the condition of it before you purchase it.

I bought mine around release to, keep mine in my room and play it in bed, playin surge deluxe last night, some good games for it, puzzle, rpg etc, FPS isnt any good on it though!!

The PS3 is still a great console. Even better now there's always realty good sales on PSN. Last month I bought God of War III for £3.99 and Ni No Kuni for £4.99 (to name a few)

From what I hear, they're un-hackable if they're on the latest FW

if you buy a 2k model so slim. You can buy the E3 Flasher to downgrade it to 3.55 then update to the latest CFW. 120GB models are hackable, but most. Now a days require the downgrade using the E3 as mentioned or pay someone to do it for you. Fantastic console if you do hack it though. PS1 PS2 PSP PSP MINI and all DLC for any game. Plus PS3 ISOS of course..

Everything above really. Play any games you want with any dlc for free. PSP, PS1 ps2 and PS3 iso. PSP mini and psn games. Emulators and if you don’t have a big HDD. You can play it all via network using webman and multiman

And if anyone wants Xbox 360. You can hack them too. RGH (modchip) allows free dlc, free Xbox 360 games in either GOD or iso format from intents or external HDD. No disc required in the drive etc. You can play any original Xbox game too, even the ones that are not officially supported. Completely region free too. Any XBLA content too. Or you can flash the dvd drive, which you have to copy dvds to be able to play your games. No region free, no free dlc and no xbla content. Purely only copies games for your region.

Still one the best Consoles in my opinion.
Blu ray
Lots of games
Cheaper aswell

3.60 latest hackable fw http://wololo.net/vhbl/

I'm on 3.63

Still use my PS3 for a media station. Plays movies so damn well. Must have spent more than a thousand hours on it. I say this whilst my PS4 looks down at me from my bedroom shelf...boxed....unused....box gathering dust.

Your information is correct but you're talking about the PS3 in reply to someone who was talking about the Vita. It's not currently possible to downgrade a Vita's firmware, even with an external flasher.
I didn't realise you could play PSP games on a hacked PS3 though (I did have a hacked fat PS3 years ago, in the very early days of CFW, like as soon as the 3.55 exploit was discovered, so maybe that feature wasn't available then). I think it's crazy that Sony didn't officially release any PSP games on the PS3, especially when they seemed to drop support for the PSP so soon and had a bunch of games that weren't selling. They must have hoped people would buy Vitas for their backwards compatibility!

I'm almost tempted to buy this just to play guns of the patriots one more time

True this. As soon as you get a unit make sure everything adds up. If not then return it straight away. Don't wait for no warranty

+1

I've played a lot of games on my PS3 but I've definitely clocked more hours on the media side of things. Blu-rays, Amazon Instant, Netflix, iPlayer, Spotify...

The official PS3 remote also works as a universal remote

To name a couple. You only named two, that’s a couple.

OK, Darklord... To be honest, I originally had 3 examples, but I edited one out because I couldn't recall the exact price. Either way, both statements are valid.

A couple = exactly 2
A few = 2 or more

But if it eases your tormented soul, here's a few more games I bought from PSN sales:

Uncharted 1: £2.99
Uncharted 2: £3.99
Uncharted 3 GOTY: £4.99
Shadow of the Colossus + ICO HD: £4.99

Stay happy, dude

I would try and avoid the older 120gb models and get the 320gb instead. The fans always seem a lot louder on the 120gb models for some reasons.
