Already posted and people don't like Very.

As far as I'm aware, £329.99 is the cheapest you can buy the Pro for, but it's the same price at Simply Games as well and it seems Simply Games is a more trusted retailer than Very, according to the people! I never had a problem with Very though. Only issue I had was when I ordered a PS4 shortly after release and it went missing at my local depot but, wasn't Very's fault, it was Yodel's. Only negative really was they didnt refund it back to my account immediately but, it was a credit account and they had to investigate the matter before they could "refund" me, which is fair enough really.

Yeah, we're missing out on all the amazing 4k Bluray titles.........oh wait

Seriously, pointless comment, it's a game console not a media hub. there are a 10001 media players available, consoles should focus on gaming 100% imo!! - Which incidently is why the XBone has been such a huge flop and Microsoft can't wait to sweep it under the carpet.

If they added a 4k Bluray the price would have been 400, and my Xbox One S gathers dust tbh because the multi platform games run better on the PS4 than the XboxOne

as it is 300 odd quid all spent on added graphic hardware vs Microsoft who just threw in a budget 4k bluray player in a console that can just about manage to run 1080p games at 30fps, i'll take the extra gaming power thanks!

Maybe the PS5 will have a built in coffee machine too huh? just to appease you

If the Scorpio doesn't have a food blender attachment i'm gonna troll the Microsoft threads in a similar fashion (i'll still be buying one though and not trolling in threads offering weak excuses because i can't afford one :p)

Also, of the 4k bluray discs that have been released, they mostly lack Atmos or DTS-X, so premium visuals but sub standard audio? is that so they can rip everyone off with a new revised 4k Bluray with Atmos later down the road?? big con, once you watch a film it mostly gathers dust for months and you'll probably watch it on channel 5 before you get the disc out again...........Mugs game

Anyway, this deal is cold... simply because of Very, nothing more

4k* upscaled

4k* upscaled

There are some native 4k games

Some are checkerboard but I doubt you would even notice the difference unless using a huge screen.

The extra power can and should be used elsewhere imo, even the Scorpio will substitute native 4k for a better gaming experience

Shhhhhh don't say that. Just pretended it's the most powerful device ever made and don't forget the cloud power. Also don't forget to pretended it has loads of amazing exclusive games you simply can't play anywhere else.

That above comment was a joke by the way in case people took is seriously.

The only native 4K games I've seen are PS3 games or very basic games like side-scrollers.
As soon as the checkerboard was mentioned I knew people would talk about it as if it's almost indistinguishable from a native 4K render. It's even more questionable when the same sorts of people are talking about HDR and using good TVs and picking apart comparisons between TVs in terms of picture quality. All that though is seemingly sat aside and suddenly upscalling's artifacts or shortcomings are ignored or made a lesser point when discussing picture quality.
I agree though that they should just target 60 FPS first and foremost. Then render whatever resolution they can.

Not ignoring it, I believe it was acknowledged, just stating that most people won't notice it, especially those who purchased an aforementioned budget 4k 55"

In fact they may well not even notice the difference between 1080p and 4k, but that's another matter.

And regardless of which games are in Native 4k, they are still 4k whichever way you look at it, they aren't all 'upscaled'

I don't believe I made any claims other than that, I certainly didn't say there wasn't a difference, just mindful that I am posting on a deals website and not AVForums where 'enthusiasts' mostly have decent equipment and know about any shortcomings.
