The Sony PSLX300 combines old and new technologies to help you make the most of your records.

USB and built-in phono stage
With a built-in phono stage, this Sony turntable can be plugged into any amp or AV receiver with standard phono inputs. Furthermore, a USB output allows you to copy records straight on to your computer hard disc from where it's easy to download music straight on to your MP3 player.

Fully automatic
In addition to being a quality Sony USB turntable, the PSLX300 is a great deck in its own right. Fully automatic operation means one-button operation and the reduced risk of damaging your previous records with the tone-arm slipping from your fingers. Belt drive makes the Sony PSLX300 a low-noise turntable while the included cartridge gives incisive sound quality.

For a quality USB turntable, the Sony PS-LX300 makes an ideal choice.

Doesn't seem to be too much of a deal to make me jump on it. Wasn't considering this model before.

Although I don't know much about them to be honest... I was hoping for a decent black friday deal on them.

Anyone have any advice? I have a Sonos Connect:Amp hooked up to some reasonably good speakers and I have ended up buying a bunch of vinyl as I like to display them on my wall as wall art, so considering getting something to play them.

I'm very much a spotify person, I love music but noticed that really it just ends up being background sounds, was considering the idea of getting my favourites on vinyl and perhaps just sitting down to listen and enjoy for once... not sure if getting a turntable is worth it though? Or how much the make/model will make a difference?

I was looking for a good deal too, but this year Black Friday is full of fake deals... items that have had their price increased for 3 months and then they lower the price but it's the same as before August.
In this case, the PSLX300 was cheaper before at £79. But £89 is still the lowest price available at this time...
Shame retailers aren't offering genuine deals for Black Friday anymore

This is right at the sweet spot for first entry level turntable, any cheaper and you (generally speaking) end up with a poorly weighted stylus that wears records long term
This Sony is has the same components as the Audio Technica LP60, both are fully automatic turntables so no adjusting counter weights etc

Audio Technica LP120 is the one to go for if you are interested in manual controls and upgradeable stylus and higher build quality but it's over twice the price, might save you upgrading later if you really got into it but if you are sure you won't want to upgrade in the near future, this Sony is a capable entry level option
It won’t sound as good as spotify at 320kbps so unless you enjoy the ceremony just leave the vinyl as art
It's a very capable turntable

I do and don't agree with you. I'm looking for something along these lines as I've just started gathering a collection of Walter Carlos vinyl as you cannot get any of the music on any streaming app or even youtube as he/she had it pulled off there.

I've been looking at the Numark PT01 Scratch as i watch a guy on youtube who uses this for samples etc as my time will be divided into ripping samples (for educational purposes only) and of course listening to...which would the posters advise getting between the Numark and this Sony?
Turntables. ....Now you're talking .
A few points, firstly each to there own on this one. You need to have a budget. As you can spend ££££££ or ££££££££££££££££
Also what kit will you use with it, Amp, Speakers, even hifi tape decks, mini disk, Cd.....etc
Plus how much Vinyl you have or will have. And in what condition....45s, 12s, or Lps.
Would you want to alter speed manual or auto.
How much space have you to keep the hifi in. Inc, siting decent speakers.....
Then would you want to burn your Vinyl back onto a pc, As lots are not available on downloads, cd, etc......I could go on....but I'll stop now .. One company I can recommend are Pro ject . Pop into a Richer sounds if you find one.
