I was in Blockbuster last night in Stamford and they had a preowned Sony PSP 3003 (latest version I believe?) for £69.99.

Not sure if its a nationwide deal but they do tend to be. Beats the morrsions offer of the older version at £90 into submission!

dont think so - op says older model but aren't there still problems with screens on 3000?
also getting a scratch free unit is important to me

They don't really have problems I have compared the 1000 2000 and 3000 side by side, and there is nothing wrong, I held off getting one because of the apparent screen problems, but there aren't.

Hey it doesnt matter, whether the psps a new model or not, they all do the same thing.
So overall just get the cheapest one you can find!

Looks like a good price

Well thats total B*ll*x for a start. You have no idea how well a second hand unit has been treated and how long it will last.
Just get the cheapest one you can find????? Sorry but I'd much rather have a new one and have a full years warrenty, thanks all the same!

Can you 'fiddle' with the 3000's. For, er, homebrew and that... ;o)

i've just bought i shiny red psp 3000 and can report no screen problems at all
i'd rather pay more for a new one!

I think what Ramz meant was newer model as in 1000 vs 3000 etc ... not new vs old ... easy on that trigger finger there :-D

This is really a good deal if you can find nice one. I got one which basicly looked brand new - Blue model with a harry potter game. Game I don't care about, but it must been only few days old, as no scratch was on it and it comes with BB warranty (I think it is 6 months), so if something is not right, you just bring it back

MrHutch, the ChickHEN exploit is hard to do and unstable at the moment...

Go for the 2000 model if you want Homebrew, MUCH easier to do right now :-)

Cheers Ben. Will look into that.

Hi what i meant was that it doesnt matter which model you get as the 1000 and 2001 and other models are basically the same. They all do the same thing. Obviously if you get one get any model but make sure its in good condition?

Just went into my local Blockbusters. They had the Base model/1000 for £59.99 but the quality was awful. Loads of really bashed up models, buttons missing and massive scratches.
Not worth getting unless you can get one of good quality.
