Very good and like New still available. Camera is well known in the photography world. Bargain at that price but probably will be voted cold.

Thing is it’s not a bargain. Sony makes you think it’s a bargain by bringing out a new camera each year at a significantly higher price whilst keeping the previous model out at the original price. Technology is supposed to get cheaper over time not dearer every single year guaranteed. They should reduce the previous model and bring out the new one at the same cost as the previous year plus inflation and maybe a little more markup but their pricing is getting pathetic. To charge this much for a compact that is drastically inferior to a cheaper a6300 or even arguably the a6000 is a joke. It’s not acceptable that an A7 can be had for less than this.
So its used, not refurbished - if you find a problem after the 30 day return period - what are your options?

I'm not against buying used equipment, but you are obviously taking on a lot more risk, and £630 wont look a bargain if it breaks after 45 days and your only option is to pay Sony £100s to fix it.

It's difficult to know where to begin. The camera was released 18 months ago and a new model has yet to hit the shelves. Comparing this to the 6300 is crazy. They are very different cameras. This one does 24fps for a start -which is unreal- and is the size of a pack of playing cards. The 6300 is an APSC ICL camera. The 6300 isn't the current model where as this 100V is. Can you link me to somewhere, where I can get a non grey market 6300 with a lens for less than this, as I want one.

Loads of 2nd hand A6300s with kit lens go for around £500 on eBay, etc.

I like these small Sony cameras but they are asking big bucks for them. I wouldn't pay this much for a 2nd hand one with very little warranty. If I wanted one I'd get the Mark IV for under £670 with a full warranty.

Send it back to Amazon as they cover it for 1yr
Never had any issues with Amazon warehouse even after 2 years they were helping me.

Can’t compare apples and pears. The A6000 series is a completely different beast. I think the price is still decent and no to very low risk. The cameras will be like new as the users returned them after they claimed the cashback offer the other day.

I knew this would go cold but still a cracking camera in my view.

I don’t disputed the quality, I’m an a7ii owner with many G lenses and have had multiple RX’s but I still have a genuine gripe against Sony’s pricing especially on this range. It’s obscene money for what they are. They are good, but not £700 good

£607 all in including the kit lens which is massively slated unnecessarily. It’s not bad for its size which is its biggest positive

The spirit of the comment is correct in terms of the A6*00 series. In that the A6300 is in fact the latest model. As is the A6000 and A6500. Neither of the older cameras has been discontinued when the newer model has appeared on the market. Sony has maintained their pricing (raised it even), marketed the newer camera as an additional model rather than a replacement and then doubled the price of the newer camera in comparison. It's unjustified, extending the life of older models just to inflate the prices of the newer. That may not be the case for this particular compact, but it is largely what Sony are practicing in the mirrorless market.
I have the Mk2. I also have a DSLR. The RX100 Mk2 goes everywhere with me. The Mk5 is very small and lacks the reach of the Mk2, but when the price comes down, I will purchase a new one.33473454-OxS6X.jpg

do you really need to keep banging on about sony pricing?
how much is a rx100 now? rrp was 550 ... now is half that
one of the reasons tech gets cheaer is because it needs cleared or is obsolete
even the 5-6 years old mk1 still takes great pics and is still being made it seems so why would they discount it? obviously there is a market for it
each of the newer versions offers more for each next level of money as you'd expect

as for this deal not sure - has been 619 after cashback iirc but not bad

is the 20% on all warehouse? cos if you click banner only selected stuff shows and not this camera
