cold for creepy mobile link
Hate Samsung stuff :-/
If you're in London or Birmingham use amazon prime now and you can get the black one for 85 quid...you don't actually have to live their just know someone who you trust to accept the delivery lol
Finally took the plunge and bought an SW3 a few weeks ago. I get about a day and a half battery out of it but just either charge it each night or turn it off when i go to bed so battery life no longer an issue. (there was a well documented fault that was eating battery but an update to android wear seems to have fixed that as well)
What i do like about this watch is the screen, it is some sort of reflective screen which means that when out in bright sun, you can still see it perfectly and at all other times it is perfectly adequate, sorry i do not study screens with magnifying glass to see if i can see any jaggies, my eyesight is usually crap anyway so any pixels per inch usually works for me.
My phone is an m8 and my wifes has a samsung s3, both of which you struggle to see when out in the sun, this watch has no such issues.
I have downloaded several watchfaces so am happy to change the look every couple of days.
I am pleased with having bought it and would certainly consider another smart watch when i do decide to replace this one.
I have had mine for quite some time and haven't had that issue at all. Usually around 36hrs for me. If your gps is always on while not tethered to the phone that will drain it
Fitbit surge is better

It's not the hardware issue, this is common to all Android Wear 5.1.1 result in the major update. Reboot after 100% charged will resolve this issue.

Is that with old smart watches too? I thought it was comparable with new smart watches that are being launched!

my prime now is giving me a price of 109.02
Just had one of these turn up from China yesterday (although the one on this link is in the UK): ebay.co.uk/itm…a0c Have to say that I'm very impressed for the money. Not everything on it is perfect/bug free, but the main features I need all work well. In fact I can use it as a standalone phone and have activated a second Giffgaff sim to put in it. Interestingly it can still receive calls from my Moto G over bluetooth as well as calls on the new internal sim. I have to be honest I wasn't too sure if I needed a smart watch, but given the fun I've had in the last 24 hours I think I'm a convert!
Very good deal.. any idea if this will work with iOS? Google now supporting ios on some smartwatches, just wondered if this was supported...

Also tempted by the Z5, may make the switch
I got one of these in Cex for £100 to try out (could return for voucher within 48 hours if I wanted). I had returned a first gen pebble that I had got from them which was "OK" but as it doesn't have the latest pebble firmware I think it was rather lacking.
Really rather impressed with the Smartwatch 3, very impressive tech especially for £100, or under.
Had a recent firmware update and I have found the battery lasting me two days easily (I dont use it "heavily"). In fact, if I don't link it to the phone and use it as a stand alone device (for GPS when needed, notes with Keep, etc) the battery lasts an impressive amount of time in virtual standby.
I like the BBC news App on it, silent Alarm and Keep Notes are very handy.
Built in memory (music) and GPS is great,
Very happy with mine, if thinking of trying Android Wear I would say, especially since the recent update, that this is a great introduction to the idea.
I have this watch, for about 4 months now. I wouldn't suggest it's a phone replacement. It is handy for seeing who has called you, or reading a text, but it is quite fiddly to set up. The thing about this watch however, is that it is one of the very few which has an in-built GPS and inbuilt memory. Which for runner is the dream combo. You transfer music to the watch, pair some bluetooth earphones (I have PowerBeats 2), start your running software (i use Google My Tracks) and off you go for your run. When you get home, the watch syncs the data back to your phone. DOn;t get me wrong it is fiddly as I say - but it works perfectly.

As for battery, I was getting several days usage. You can turn off the GPS until you really need it, you can make the screen dim after 10 seconds so it does not drain power, and then turn on the wrist activation, meaning if you rotate your wrist the screen comes on.

Can't believe a z5 is coming out already (next month), 4k screen is a bit much though iant it ?, and I see it has the 810 which has been a bad processor as far as I know (Overheating, etc, as with the z3+).
Personally I would recommend the z2, z3, or z3 compact, which can be picked up now for between £250-£320 new (and cheaper "used" etc). They really are great phones, I love my z2, great battery, noise cancelling, etc. Only issue I have with it is it is a bit "heavy".
Had one for a month now and love it. Battery is no longer an issue. Lots of free faces, lots of free apps. Send and reply to emails & texts using voice recognition. 'Ok Google' is spoken a lot now

Microsoft have released a language translator for Android Wear which is rather good. I have a full calculator, GPS/fitnesstracking app, agenda, alarm, voice recorder, music player, access to google maps, weather updater, text reader, email reader, Twitter reader all on my wrist. My phone battery is now lasting longer thanks to the watch.

Bought a White strap via Beat My Price and it looks better than the black.

been tested working with 1st gen moto 360 just fine so I assume all android wear will work.
This is a great price! Still use my moto 360.

Re iPhone link, think the issue is that the android wear watch needs the latest firmware. If you're buying one second hand, that will most likely work whereas if you buy new, you'll need to connect it to an android phone to update and then connect to the iPhone.
The Garmin VivoActive is the best smart watch for battery mine lasts 3 weeks on a charge and at least a week if im using gps periodicly, running biking etc. Doesn't have the apps that android or apple have but syncs with phone so I can answer incoming calls get texts, facebook, whatsap notifications. start & stop music volume track skip etc. also does swimming waterproof.
I have this, its pretty good.
Positives
- 2 day battery
- charge with any micro usb
- display easy to see outside in bright sun (even when off - ebook like display properties)

negatives
- in low light the display does not look as nice as oled alternatives
- not round (actually more usable)
- step count not as accurate as phone (probably the case with any band - positive aspect you don't need phone on you to keep tracking steps
- inconsistent app behaviour e.g. some chat apps only say you have a message and you need to open phone to read, music playback controls sometimes disapear if you haven't used them on your phone for a while

Overall I'm happy with it, walking navigation works really well, changing tracks is easier than taking phone out and my phone battery has improved as I don't have to take it out as often. Messing about with watch faces is fun also

as long as you can download the android wear app on the device then I think you can connect it to a tablet no problem. The watch updates direct from the watch itself via WiFi.

How do you find the GPS on runs? Is it as accurate as a phone?

They have a promotion going for £20 off £50+ spend on prime now. Google it
thanks for the replys I'll try the rebooting at 100% thing, I didn't really want to take it off at night as I want to use the silent alarm feature, its a decent enough watch I suppose but I feel it's more gimmicky than anything I can't wholeheartedly recommend it, but if you've got the money spare this is a good price. I won't vote either way
LG Urbane thanks to flubit for 188,love it.

It isn't just a watch though is it. How many smartphones last more than 24 hours before recharging?
