Anyone know if this only works with certain mobile phones, for instance would it work with a Samsung Note 4?

looks like universal jack plug should work with all post circa 1970 technology except apple from now on

Hmm that looks like a 5 pole plug which I would be surprised if it worked in all devices, most accept a 4 pole plug I thought? and regular hifi would be a 3 pole plug (or even 2 pole mono) mics - but this might well work giving maybe mono on some devices or stereo on others.
However it might well work in any device and it's a very decent price.

Going to punt it and have a go for my S7.

CEX give £4 for it if it ends up not working - if Vodafone dont accept the return.

Does need 5 pole jack to work well. Reviews on Amazon say it works with other devices but quietly.

Seems like a good deal.

Does anyone know what the quality of this mic is like in practice?

who would need a dedicated mic?

Vodafone are legally obliged to accept it as a return, provided you haven't damaged it. If it is not misdescribed you might have to pay return postage though.

Looks like they've mixed this up with the description of a headphone - beware!

Anyone tried this with a x1000v sony action cam? That square based looks like it might be a tight fit.

anyone know if its good for a laptop for skype etc?

I don't know why you wouldn't just use the built-in mic for that - it should be positioned at the top of the lid. Otherwise, you'd want a desk mic in a stand, not something stuck in the audio hole in the side of the unit.

Does anyone know if this works with the Nexus 5x ? Thanks

Cold, doesn't work with my new iPhone 7.

It's a coward product.

can you get an adaptor to make it work with other hifi devices? I want to connect it to a sound card or maybe a raspberry pi for a project.

Can this record noise from the moon?

Edit Wow! Haha!! Let me reword this as originally intended. Can this record the noise of entire room, such you could record conversations and the like, and not hold it to you mouth for decent recording.
