120V.

Does that simply mean wrong plug but can change that or get an adapter?
It's puts me off that all but the front left and right channels use spring clip connections so only support cable upto 1.5mm thick. No WiFi or ethernet either. It's quite a budget receiver.

Never really seen the need for wifi or ethernet on an amp. If I want music I connect via bluetooth or plug something into it directly. As for budget it seems pretty well spec'd for codecs, and number of speaker connections, even two subs. Average price when I look around is about £350, £299 is a good price, price on this deal is very good.

Something wrong with their spec list, this is 145w output not 240 for starters but Spain uses 220v not 120 so you should just need a new plug/converter.

Whilst not quite as cheap, this Denon AVRX2400 model at £325 pretty much has it all.

I bought this receiver when it came out. I have no need for Internet access because i just use the x800 to play music. But this receiver is REALLY good. And using it on a pc you can get 1080p 240hz

Got mine for just under £300 from Peter Tyson. This Sony is a new model, but isn't a particularly popular one in terms of sales, but £200 is very good.

Yep, the Denon has been £300 in the past. The Sony with only 4 inputs is a joke these days though.

Expecting high specs from £200 receiver is a joke... 4 hdmi inputs is enough for most people
Would this be slimmer then average receiver, would like to buy something but looking for slimline type.
Australian Review at the £480 price mark.
Replace the EU plug for this one and just hear how the sound is "even fuller, more detailed and more open and natural..."
Don't forget to also purchase the Super Burn in Plus option to make sure it hits the sweet spot from the off.

I think the point needs making though that this isn't a hight end receiver. It's weird that it does sell for £300-350 as standard which puts it right in the middle of some cracking middle range receivers like the Denon 2400. Don't get me wrong at £200 this is a great price for a lower mid range amp.

You can't change Australia dollars into pounds and get the UK pound selling price over here. Electronic items in Australia cost way more than in the UK.

Not weird as this is new model... Denon 2400 was around £500 at release but discounted to £300 now - bought mine last month off ebay for £219(listed as ex-demo but came brand new boxed )
This is premium audio, so no comparison to chinese makes like denon and onkyo. Hot

That’s what I’d be looking to do. Although the Sony is a 2018 receiver and at a good discount, you’re getting a better deal buying last year’s higher spec at a discount.
I bought one of these and have been happy with it since it arrived so thanks OP.
I dont think this is possible but I am going to ask. I have an echo dot. It is possible to wire a 3.5mm jack into this amp as a pass through? What I'm hoping for is that I could be watching tv with the amp, but if I speak to Alexa, it will interupt the tv do what I asked and then continue the sound on the tv.

In short, Echo dot's can do multi room music but the sound on their speak isn't great. So by connecting them using 3.5mm plugs I can get better sound... I just dont want to have to rely on connecting and unconnecting the 3.5mm everytime I want to change input
